My family and I came In because my mother-in-law was shared this place by my boyfriend. Preface: I am white and my boyfriend and family are black, our daughter is mixed. This will be explained later.
the parking is difficult with the car wash in the same parking lot.
the food is sub par. I know the vegetables are frozen. You can tell by the carrots. How hard would it be to cut up carrots and vegetables at the beginning of the work day. The noodles were, I believe, Italian spaghetti noodles. The seasoning was very heavy and borderline too salty.
a can of coke or sprite is $3..... not sure why fountain drinks are not a thing.
the interior was not giving fine dinning. a slab of marble hanging on the wall does not make you expensive. The floor tiles were cracking and my boyfriend said it felt like it was going to cave in.
only forks???? they do not give you chop sticks. You have to ask for them. Your food automatically comes as a to-go order with nothing labeled as to what it might be.
customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. the guy was nice. He said welcome to stick chops and was very helpful with our order. The young lady with the diving board eye lashes and the horrible attitude was very stand offish. It appeared to me that, on multiple occasions, she was looking at my boyfriend and i as if she disapproved of our relationship. Another young lady who was a customer came up to the counter I believe to get her order only to met with eyelashes standing at the other end of the bar typing away on her phone. She stood there 4 or 5 mins waiting to be helped then went back to her seat. Another customer left their notification vibrator thing on the counter and she was rude about getting her attention. In a normal establishment, if an individual gets enough complains they would be out the door. She's not the girl for yall. She should have a promotion to customer so she can gob work somewhere her personality would benifit from, like McDonald's.
the price. How can you, with a clear conscience charge those prices for frozen food????? My mother-in-law paid $284 for 5 people. Just because you have lobster doesn't mean you are fine dinning. I can make better food. The mall makes better food.
This place needs to rethink its concept. This is not Cajun. This was not hibachi. It is over price mall food that is trying to be high classes and failing. The service is sub par, prices too high, and we will not be returning. It's a shame, because supporting black owned businesses is a great thing, but not when I'm made to feel uncomfortable because I'm dating a black guy, or to eat a dinner where most is frozen previously.
Sorry not sorry. Will not be recommending...
Read moreAs much as I love the taste of Stick Talk style of food and bottled flavored drinks. It's sad to say I will not return. As a black man I love to support black businesses and congratulate the owner for building such a great brand, but what I do not appreciate is that being black means being treated unprofessional like. I applaud the owner for hiring people of my skin color.I appreciate that, but the unprofessionalism I witnessed entering stick talk that day was unwelcoming. First nobody greets you, they immediately say "Are you dining or take out." in a slight aggressive manner. Like yo "Can I get a hi welcome to stick talk how may I help you or something.",and when someone leaves you thank them for coming so they'll come back. Like I get it working is hard, you get tired, but you gotta have pride in work ethics in front of customers, you know some integrity. Just because majority of the customers is black don't mean treat customers ghetto like. I ain't saying treat me like a white person but treat me with respect. I'm a customer not your homie down the block.Talk about your personal conversation in the back, not while taking my order. To be honest I really don't care where you talk about your personal conversations just not while taking my order. I need you to focus on getting my order right. Look I'm black too I get hella wild and loud but in the end there's a time and a place to be who you are. I looked at Stick Talk as a professional establishment but the employees in the front (not included backroom workers) has to work on customers services. Let the customers be ghetto not the employees. But forreal though the food and sauce is good though, maybe one day I will try stick talk again, but not at...
Read moreFound out about this place on social media and decided to give it a try. My coworker and I ordered online an hour before our lunch break to ensure that our food would be done by the time I got there. Didn’t receive a confirmation email so I called, no answer. When I got there, one cashier couldn’t find my order but when she did, she said it would be an additional 20 minute wait even though I ordered an hour prior. I told her I would like a refund because I didn’t have 20 minutes to wait as I was on my lunch break, hence the reason why I ordered an hour beforehand. Another cashier then told me that I would have to request it through the app and the app would call them to confirm my refund but it will take time for the refund to go back to my account. I said to hell with it and I’d rather wait 20 minutes for the food versus waiting days for a $72 refund.
While I was sitting down waiting, the first cashier asked me if I still wanted the food, I told her yes. Then about 10 minutes after that encounter, the second cashier notified me that she couldn’t find my order or record of my payment and she wanted to RETAKE my order and for me to REPAY for it. I told her that I received a confirmation email for my order while I was standing talking to her 🙄 I asked her did they even start on my order…She told me no. At this point I’m fed up. She then asked me if I wanted the food or the refund. I told her the refund, why this girl refunded me and it went back to my card instantly?! This could’ve been resolved when I first requested the...
