Did you know that underneath downtown Houston there is a 6 mile long public tunnel system that connects 95 city blocks? I went down for Mediterranean food recently at Pita Express Mediterranean Grill. They're open 10:30am-2pm Monday-Friday, (and the tunnels themselves are open 6am-6pm M-F.) Pita Express makes everything fresh daily in the morning, from their grilled meats and pitas to their baklava. Everything is delicious and there is so much selection when it comes to toppings. You need to try their steak because it's so good!! You go through the line to order a wrap or bowl, with your choice of greens or grains, protein, and delicious toppings like falafel, grape leaves, feta, hummus, grilled veggies, chickpeas and more. I absolutely devoured my chicken shwarma bowl!! It's so yummy and filling! I even got a drink with my order and with tip it was $20 for everything!!! This is my new favorite lunch combo and food stop near me. It's super fast too so if you're on a time crunch you have to try it! The employees are also super kind! COME HERE FOR LUNCH! :) <3
