In my 30 years of life I've never written a review but the horrible experience yesterday is making me write this!!! If you want a night out on your special night please skip this place! My husband and I are big time foodies and usually like to try five and four star restaurants! Trust me I've been to even a 3 star and they treat you better than this restaurant! Our waiter was super rude! The food that I ordered was a smoked beef filet, it was horrible! My husband had ordered a Salmon which was decent! It was my anniversary and my daughters first birthday so my husband had called and asked them to add a happy birthday plate and a happy anniversary plate for us each with the best desert on it! They told him they'll do so but they'll charge 10$ extra for it al together, Then my husband specified if it's 10$ each he doesn't want it , the lady on the phone clarified that it's altogether! Anyway when the bill came they charged us 20$ for some cheap cookies on the plate with happy birthday written on it lol and happy anniversary on the other! When we called the waiter that the lady on the phone told us 10$ for both he got loud and very embarrassing and told us every waiter here knows that it's a 10$! Anyway we didn't care much since it was such an expensive meal anyway that 10$ didn't natter! We were ready to pay but then the manager came out and said no nothing like that can happen that's an impossibility and there is a Misunderstanding form your side! So, the whole experience was horrible! Please there are a lot of restaurants around town like capital grille, Brazilian steak houses etc. And if you really want to go see the view please go to Chicago and go to signature lounge or have dinner at their restaurant! Avoid this rude place! Never ever...

Seafood heavy menu prepared by the hotel culinary team.
Service is excellent. I emailed ahead and asked for the chef to come out to the table and talk about the menu which they did. Chef was very nice and well informed. Had a lot of knowledge about the menu and had been with the hotel for over a decade at one location or another.
Tried the Charcuterie board and the seafood Mac for starters. Seafood Mac was on point but the Charcuterie board left a lot to be desired. These boards are being done well in many botique establishments and even some hotel restaurants I've stayed at. None of the offerings were horrible it just felt uninspired. Although, the chef did say they were all locally produced meats and cheeses...
Main course was the rack of Lamb and the filet both were excellent and very tasty. Finished up with the chocolate mousse.
Fun but dated environment with about e average but not "to die for" food. Would totally be a prom date or first date spot. We were there celebrating an anniversary a d another couple had rosepetals on the table.
Views of the skyline were probably once much better but now you get the inside views of several neighboring skyscrapers... You can see a great view of city Hall and the ferris wheel connected to the Aquarium restaurant
Lobby bar is inviting and parking is validated. Definitely a four star experience but the dining still has the hotel kitchen feel so I'm saying...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA beautiful view with a warm, attentive staff and food that only missed a single mark. We had dinner there for our anniversary last evening. We were very promptly seated, even though we arrived a bit early for our reservation. The view is spectacular, and it was a great evening to enjoy the sunset. Our cocktails were delicious, and we quite enjoyed the bread basket. Our server was personable and cheerful. She did a fine job all evening. We shared and enjoyed the seafood mac and cheese- a generous serving full of perfectly prepared shrimp and crawfish. My husband had the corn seafood chowder and I had the fresh green "Spindletop"salad. Both were wonderful! I had the rack of lamb and was delighted with both the execution and the presentation of my dish. My husband had the surf and turf, giving the filet one of the highest marks he's ever given. The one misstep on the menu was the overly dry crab cake accompanied by an overpoweringly strong citrus sauce. It was a shame because the crab cake was full of good looking lump crabmeat, but was just off the mark. We were greeted during our dinner by the restaurant manager, and the chef came out to introduce himself as well. We could not have had better service. We declined dessert, as we were simply too full, yet they presented us with a lovely complimentary anniversary dessert plate and a hand written Happy Anniversary card signed by all the staff. If this effort does not indicate the desire of a restaurant to attract and retain clients, I don't know what does. We shall return. It was a...
