I frequent the Downtown Post Oak Grill Kiosk quite often for breakfast tacos provided I work nearby. The tacos are never hot or even that great for the most part but I would continue to visit because again it was quick. Today was my last day patronizing the Post Oak Grill due to the service. When I arrived today, there was a lady walking up to order and I was next so I stood behind her. The worker made a really big deal out of where I was standing telling me the line was to the left of the customer standing there and not to the right of her. I simply stated there was not anyone there and she decided to combat my comment by telling me why I needed to stand where she told me to. I put my head down to avoid any additional confrontation and because I did not listen to her she mumbled under her breath the entire time she made my food. It was extremely rude and just not the way I wanted to begin my day. I am disappointed I now have to find another breakfast location because the Post Oak Grill is adamant about customers standing in an imaginary line at the make...
Read morePost Oak Grill, in the tunnels. Great ambiance, looks upscale, prices are upscale for lunch.... Food is not good. I got chicken fried chicken.... Treebeards does it better for less. Here it's pre-breaded the deep fried flat chicken "breast" with a white gravy stain that was dried up by the time I got it, flavorless spoon full of mashed potatoes, a few pieces of broccoli, a single thick shaving of a carrot, and a couple of green beans... thoughtfully placed on a white plate. They have complimentary biscuits... which are canned biscuits with some chopped jalapeño and chunks of ham in them.
I was maybe the 6-7th person in at lunch... my food came out visibly lamp tanned and just above warm... the plate was so hot I couldn't touch it. I've gotten coke, tea, and now Diet Coke in my refills. There is literally nothing other than the walls and tables that is redeeming about this place. I'll gave them my $30 and walked back disappointed and confused at how so many people keep walking...
Read moreI've been working at downtown for 3 years now and me and a co-worker decided to give this place a try even after hearing bad reviews, well now I know why. I felt as if we weren't welcomed here maybe because of the way we were dressed since we went on a Friday which is a casual day for our office. Jeans and a polo shirt, either way we are paying for the food so what difference does it make! The icing on the cake was we were made to pay on a I PAD with the damn waiter there waiting to see what tip we left him! EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE! What kind of so called high end place does this crap!...
