I've been here a couple of times with my girlfriend. My most recent visit was on 02/08/25. We were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday, and we happened to bring 9 other people with us. PJ's is a pretty cool sports and karaoke bar. It's an old house that was converted into a bar. The bar is downstairs, but all of the shenanigans happen upstairs. They have a live DJ who is pretty freaking awesome. Not only does he have just about every song ever written, but the man can sing and play guitar. He's very friendly and very down to earth. He really seems to enjoy his job. He makes the whole karaoke experience very enjoyable. And, the bartender, who I believe is also the owner of the bar, is very friendly and doesn't skip a beat when filling drink or food orders. Sadly, I have never ordered any food from here, but I suspect that it's probably pretty good. The alcohol and beer are great, basically what you would expect at any bar. The atmosphere is great. They have a good size patio for smokers ( I'm not one), downstairs has a few TVs to watch sports and upstairs is where all the action is. $1 jello shots, reasonable beer and drink specials, sufficient seating, and a awesome karaoke DJ. Friday night's are usually the busiest, so you have to get there early (around 9:30) to get a good spot. I've been going here for about 5 years and have met PJ himself. He's a sweet older gentleman and works really hard. I no longer live in the area but I still find a way to get out there every...

I love that I live down the street from an affordable come-as-you-are bar where the owner and his staff are some of the nicest, welcoming, and all-around good people you'll ever meet. The game & the UFC fight is always on, the regulars are good conversationalists, and Thursday is Steak Night, where you get a good meal (plus baked potato and salad) for a great price.
Did I mention karaoke night 2x a week upstairs? I did now. It's a good time and if you're looking for a place to unwind in Montrose/Heights,...
