THIS POSTINO IS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE SAME AS THE OTHERS I eat regularly enough at Postino in the Heights that staff there call me by my first name. I have eaten at Postino in the Woodlands, and about a year ago in City Centre when Danielle Keaton was there and it was great the several times I was there. Time changes everything. I dropped into Postino on Wednesday evening as the only hotel I could find was on the West side. I figured I would eat something light and then take some food to my hotel after traffic died down. I sat at the bar and it was not very busy. I could see staff working on menus, etc. and cleaning glasses but the service was slow. When I left, I took my order to my hotel, sat down to eat and realized the entire order was wrong. On top of that there was no plastic wear to eat the salad with. I was not going to drive all the way back to Postino City Centre to fix it and just ended up dipping some of my lettuce in the dressing. I figured it was a one off and was not too bothered by it. I went to Postino City Centre the next evening to get food to go and I sat at the bar. There were maybe 6-7 total people in the restaurant besides me and at least that many employees. I told the young man at the host stand I would sit at the bar. A minute or two later another lady came to the host stand and was opening packets of menus. I finally asked her for a menu. I was there about 5 minutes more and he came out of the back, noticed I was sitting there went to the other end of the bar and came to take my order. I explained what was wrong with the order yesterday and asked him to please make sure that it was right. He apologized and said he would. A few minutes later the bartender came up and asked me if I would like to order. About 10 minutes later she brought my receipt and I paid. The receipt said Check 97, table B3, Ordered: 3:23 PM. At 3:44 I sent a text to a manager at the Montrose Postino and told him how long I had been there and that they really needed to get a manager like him or Danielle at City Centre. About 5 minutes later I asked the hostess if she could find out something about my order. Several minutes later the first guy I met came to me and said it should be coming out. Then a few minutes later a lady came out and said the same thing. Then about 5 minutes later another lady brought my order and left. By this time I had been sitting there for 45 minutes at a minimum. I looked in the bag and there was no plastic wear. I called the bartender down and asked her to go get me some and she did. As she returned with the plastic wear the first lady came running out of the back with a box and put it into my bag... IT WAS THE REST OF THE ORDER! If I had not checked for plastic wear, I would have gotten to the hotel with half an order and, again, nothing to eat it with. Whoever owns POSTINO CITY CENTRE needs to wake up and get some management. This is truly nothing like what the other restaurants are like. I won't return and I suggest you go to Jack in...
Read moreHow very unfortunate, after a long day of work, I find myself enjoying my quiet down town here a postinos (Town and Country). Recently I was subject to unwanted behavior by the bartender service. Per usual I sat at the bar for a solo dinner, and ordered a usual bottle of wine and a bruschetta board. With no complaints, as the food was amazing, but to my surprise the night ended different. I made causal drink friends with another solo date male who was only visiting Houston. After a few night caps, he and I both had a very friendly and comical relationship. The bartenders seem to question his sobriety and ability to drive home, but he was staying in the domain and I was staying until close of business, as I was awaiting another friend. When asked by a specific bartender(to which I do not know her name) he became upset and disgruntled towards her. They exchanged words, as well as subliminal expressions and management was immediately involved. To their defense, I understand the need to preserve a comfortable and safe place for his bartenders. But personally I was not involved in the dispute regarding the bartender and client. I was forced to close my tab and leave, with doing so I had to rush my last glass of wine(I purchased a bottle). In her defense I understands her need to protect her TABC license and job, but in my situation, I personally had nothing to do with it. Obviously the customer DID notice the bartender acting in a questionable way(taking what looks to be a pill) but I had no personal connection to the situation. I don’t agree with her statement of having me removed from the establishment. From beginning to ended, I caused no problems, and did not speak to or about her with malice intention. I’m disappointed and feel disgusted by the way I was treated. Working in customer service as a property manager I understand the difficult of this situation but regardless of circumstances, as an employee, you have to be able to separate personal from business. Obviously the customer with the issue did come off very aggressive and point blink flag out what could be an issue. But I was a customer on a separate tab with a separate bartender. WHO also stop treating me with the same customer service after her co worker received backlash from the other customer. They both became distant and very disconnected. The manager handled the situation to the best of his abilities and I will give my appreciation for that. He was respectful and before the situation involved myself, he did not assume or judge. He approached the situation respectfully and handle everyone with care, and when I pointed out my disconnection he moved accordingly. However I think the situation stands with the employee or employee(s), obviously the original customer made them feel uncomfortable, but generalizing and mistreatment should not be allowed. I sat at the bar, I ordered alone, I didn’t approach or disrespect neither of the TWO bartenders. Yet I was treated as the problem,...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Postino Town and Country, and I must say, it has become one of my all-time favorite restaurants. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the inviting atmosphere and the promise of a remarkable dining experience.
The food at Postino is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish is a masterpiece, crafted with precision and care. The flavors are a delightful dance on the palate, leaving a lasting impression that keeps me coming back for more. Whether it's the savory starters or the mouthwatering main courses, every bite is a true celebration of culinary artistry.
What truly sets Postino apart is its charming outdoor seating area. As a proud owner of a golden doodle, I always appreciate pet-friendly places. The shaded patio, complete with fans and misters, provides the perfect oasis for both me and my furry friend. It's heartwarming to see an establishment that welcomes pets, creating an atmosphere where everyone feels like family. Notably, they even provide doggy bowls for water without me needing to ask, showing their attention to detail and care for both two-legged and four-legged guests.
And let's talk about the service team - they're simply the best. The staff at Postino Town and Country redefine hospitality. Their genuine warmth and attentiveness make every visit feel like a special occasion. It's a rare and wonderful feeling to be attended to by a team that goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort and satisfaction.
One highlight of my visits is indulging in a glass of prosecco with prickly pear syrup. This unique concoction is a true delight for the senses, combining the effervescence of prosecco with the subtly sweet and tangy notes of prickly pear. It's an absolute must-try and has become my go-to drink whenever I'm at Postino.
In conclusion, Postino Town and Country has won my heart with its delectable food, enchanting atmosphere, pet-friendly patio with thoughtful amenities for dogs, and outstanding service. It's a haven where culinary artistry meets genuine hospitality, creating an experience that lingers in the memory long after the meal is over. If you haven't yet experienced the magic of Postino, I wholeheartedly recommend you pay a visit. Your taste buds and your heart...
