I eat hear occasionally when I'm in the neighborhood. However, this visit was a little different we had two different servers. Can't tell if they were in training or if they just were not in the best mood to do service that day. It took a very long time to get our initial drinks then when the drinks did come the rest of the table was ready to order some drinks and they took a minute to get minute to get to us. When we ordered drinks the first time my girlfriend ordered their grilled cheese. As you can see from the photograph the food looks delicious it was melted cheese it was beautifully cooked everything was perfect with it. When they did return to our table we had a different server. This time and we place an order for another grilled cheese sandwich and the jalapeno crab hush puppies. Service was very slow for Saturday afternoon at like maybe 245 so that was weird. So we finally questioned the server where is our food coming it's been like 30 minutes. We were not you're not trying to be rude. just trying to eat. They bring our food out and everyone begins to grab what's there's. My girlfriend ordered the grilled cheese sandwich now the first sandwich is a photo that y'all see on this review it looks amazing. The second time the second sandwich looked like trash. The cheese wasn't melted on the sandwich it look like it they had literally just been pulled the cheese from the fridgerator and thrown on some toasted bread. It wasn't hot it was kind of warm and my girlfriend was like it's fine I'll just eat it. I'm tired of dealing with bad customer service. I said no it's called we pay you pay for what you want. we wanted a hot grilled cheese sandwich therefore I'm going to request a manager to get you a hot grilled cheese sandwich. I asked our server to speak to a manager he comes over. we explain what's wrong with our food he says it will be taken of. He took it off of my girlfriend's bill which was fine and said would you ladies like another round of drinks. I believe the majority of the table said yes. Now here's where I have to say miscommunication happened. My girlfriend's thought by him asking what we like another round of drinks. SInce we had an issue with the food which would be on him. David the manager didn't actually say the drinks were on him. He just asked if he wanted another round. We finally get our checks we trying to check out and my girlfriend start kind of fussing because they're like we got bill for the other drink. I stated and I do have our extensive restaurant background. I said he didn't say ladies can I buy you a drink, he said would you like another roun? The assumption should never have been made to think that was going to be a free drink, because he didn't say it. They assumed wrong and I said what you got to pay for them. The price was $4 it was happy hour, but I think it was just the assumption that he left a bad taste in my girlfriend's mouth. Like you came over to the table you acknowledged the the food was not up to par. We talked about the bar in the alcohol that they have available. First let me say this I'm with a group of women who eat out regularly. The bar doesn't offer any premium alcohol or that my girlfriend's felt that was premium liquor from the tequila to the vodka it was not premium. There is nothing wrong with that so take with that what you will my girlfriend's wanted to change out the liquor and some of their drinks to a a brand that they felt would enhance the drink they don't offer the brands. The manager stated all these decisions come from corporate. which I truly do believe. I worked on the corporate side of restaurants. Overall the food was good for this visit, parking is always available in the parking garage. you may have to pay but you may be lucky to find a spot out front normally no. The staff on this day could have done a better job. I just felt like that we were like just being shuffled between pp. Prices is reasonable the options they have are great. Maybe a server training sessions. I'll be back hopefully...

I had an overall fair experience. The food was good, and the service was MOSTLY good.

We had a large group for Saturday brunch. The biggest draw for us was the $1 mimosas, but the food was excellent, too. We were there for so long that I ate twice. During brunch, I ordered the Shrimp and Crab Tostada, and my second dish was the Kung Pao Lettuce Wrap. Both were very good.

They only had one server during each of our service segments, and they both were good. We were there for at least 7-8 hours. I left after six hours. We had a good time. The atmosphere and vibe was pleasant.

As I mentioned, we had a large group of 20 people. It wasn't pre-planned with the restaurant, we popped up. They were able to accommodate us because the restaurant was surprisingly empty for Saturday brunch. Since it wasn't pre-scheduled, we couldn't be seated in the semi-private dining room. Although that room was not reserved for the day, we couldn't dine there. We would have had to make reservations in advance. Fortunately, outside of that room was a long bench with several tables. We pulled an additional chair from a nearby table so everyone could be seated.

After being there for about four hours, a friend stopped by to take a group photo. She attempted to pull up a chair to sit and speak with us briefly. The bar/restaurant manager (I'm unsure of his title), scolded her about moving chairs. He proceeded to tell her that she should sit elsewhere, pointing to a booth in a different part of the restaurant. Mind you, someone in our group had been sitting in an identical chair he'd moved for four hours.

The manager began to clear our table, holding his arm low, hitting and braising us with his arm and the plates. We had a perfect experience until he came into the mix. I am unsure what ticked him off, but it was unnecessary and...

Review ammended 9/10/19

I originally visited 3 months ago and due to the general manager reaching out to me I gave it a second chance. The service was MUCH better this time around!! We had no major complications compared to the previous visit. They were also able to change a couple of the TVs to the Astro's game as well! The food is still delicious and I glad the manager reached out or I would not have returned.

Service was seriously awful. We arrived and waited about 10+ minutes to even be greeted by a hostess, when we weren't we had to go alert the wait staff of our arrival. We we're sat in the back and I asked the hostess to put the Astros game on the tv, she said she would find someone. When she did not I asked the server once he arrived. I ordered a vodka soda with limes and they forgot the limes. When the server returned I asked for limes and the Astros game again as they still had not changed the channel! This was the third time I had asked and the server responded "trust me your not the first person to ask." I was just in shock! I was not the first customer you had upset by not changing the channel, which is such a simple request!! The limes for my drink never arrived and I had to go to the bar to get them myself. The food was good which was the only redeeming quality about this place which I why I gave it two stars. Although I have been here several times previously, for brunch and happy hour, I won't return just due to the terrible service and the utter disrespect...

8:36pm Saturday, Aug 6, 2022, on my way to work I called to order a salad. The only menu item close to what I wanted was the Shrimp & Avocado Salad ($16.45). I ask the lady that answered the phone if I may substitute the shrimp for the honey fried chicken (11.95) and please add extra tomatoes and cucumbers. She politely said yes, no problem and told me it would be about 20 mins. Being a tipper, while waiting I decided to go to the bank to withdraw cash to pay for my food. Once inside TGP, I told the hostess my name and she said go to the bar, as I approached the bar a female bartender wearing all black noticed me and said my name, I replied yes. Shortly after a female wearing a white coat gave me a bag with my items and said the order was $38 and change. Completely stunned by the price of a salad, I questioned why so much, she replied they were unable to substitute the shrimp for the chicken. Again, stunned by this, I replied I was not informed of the upcharge, in a downgrade of the protein from shrimp to chicken. She replied sorry we are not able to do. I have her $40 cash, as she gave me the change, I was so troubled, yet not wanting to cause a scene, I simply left. When I got to work and opened the bag, I cried. The chicken was burned, and the salad greens were wilted, I could not believe this salad was almost $40. I will never order from TGP again, nor would I recommend this establish. I was forced to give 1 star in order to post this review.
