Sam’s Club has great prices and a large variety of merchandise. It’s one of the best places to shop in bulk and save money. The shelves are usually well-stocked, and there’s a good selection of items throughout the store. The biggest issue, however, is the complete lack of customer service. For example, the last time I went to the customer service desk, I was waiting in line when the employee saw me approaching—and simply walked off. She left her post and didn’t come back. There was no one else there to help, and I wasn’t the only one—other customers were also waiting and left frustrated. It was as if she purposely avoided helping anyone. Unfortunately, this isn’t a one-time experience. Most of the staff at the service desk seem uninterested in assisting customers and act like they’d rather be anywhere else. It’s disappointing, especially from a store that otherwise offers so much value. If you don’t need help, you’ll probably have a smooth shopping trip. But if you do need customer service—good luck. It’s often a waste of time.

I had a terrible experience with their delivery system. I had a delivery scheduled for a 5pm-7pm window. They didn’t deliver my items until 8:30pm. This totally derailed my plans. No one contacted me regarding the delay. I tried calling the store they were closed. I tried the chat, it was AI moderated and not helpful. I tried calling the customer service line and waited in queue for over 30 minutes before disconnecting. This was a nightmare and counterintuitive for any semblance of being convenient. I was better off going to a nearby grocery store. I would not recommend using this service as it’s no way to guarantee your delivery window even if you book it for the slot and it’s a hassle to reach anyone from customer service to help you.

I have been going to this sam’s club since 2015, I went other that I want to upgrade my card cause it’s expiring next month and at first I was told to $55 to get it upgrade, but a lady at the customer service refused to do my upgrade she said to upgrade it I need to pay $55 for the upgrade and in 3 weeks that card will expire and I will have to pay $100 for one year I told her that doesn’t make any sense because that will be $155 while I can take new card for $100. She you will have to until it expires and pay $100 for new one, then she took away and gave me a temporary blue card now I can’t login my account at all and these week will my second weeks calling about this issue no one answer nor give a call back it’s sad!

I have been a member for quite a long time and this location is by far the worst location I have been to. From the door man to the manager, that should tell you enough on my experience here. We had to pick up ONE item and it turned into more than what it needed to be. The door man let 3 people in right in front of us after we were told we couldn't enter because the store was closed. We got to the front doors at 8:40, store closes at 8:30. Much of a difference? Not really. Clearly there were people still in line waiting to checkout, so them not having registers open would've been a bold face lie. Granted, the store was closing and I get it, but what's more important? Keeping your stance on not allowing us in, but yet, through random selection, you allow others in? No sir. I said why all of a sudden are they allowed to come in and we aren't? Literally, we were there to get ONE item, and we already knew which one to get because we left 20 minutes before us coming back to go to Walmart to compare pricing. He pages the manager on his walkie talkie, still not allowing us to walk through. Should've just walked right passed him. Waited 4 minutes for whatever her name is to come address the issue. She approached us, obviously looking like hates her job and wants to go home, and rudely asks, "What seems to be the problem?" Doesn't say anything of the nature of "Hello, my name is so and so, my doorman tells me that there's something the matter. What can I help you with?" Is there a school for Sam's Club managers? Because if so, she needs to retake a few courses on how to be professional. Keep in mind that we needed ONE item. Within that timeframe of us waiting to hear from a manger, who turned away money coming in, we could've been in the self checkout lane making our purchase. Why the self checkout lane you ask? Because we only needed ONE item. As we walked away because she rudely said that we weren't allowed in, she said that all sam's clubs are closed so don't bother going to another one. "That's fine" I said, "this location just so happened to lose our business anyway". To the manager on duty that night (4/24/19), thank you so much for making me understand that this location is no longer working for me. Word of mouth spreads faster than a yelp review, so best believe I am spreading all of this to family members, coworkers, and friends who live in the galleria area to go to another location because this one clearly doesn't care about making revenue for the store, but more so to get home on time and be selective of their customers. Save yourself a headache from dealing with rude managers and terrible customer service. This google review isn't even the beginning of how I plan to rectify this situation. Use sam's for the gas and get a Costco...

On may 12, 7 pm i was at Sam’s at this location n no social distancing was maintained. I was waiting to be checked out n next thing u know the black lady working there who seems to be a manager or just a worker carrying a walkie talkie let other customer go pass through me as she was the one who escorted them to cut me off. I thought no big deal, i can wait. She thought may be i was not going ahead to the checkout but i was trying to maintain a social distancing. Suddenly another chubby black lady who was working at the check out lane put a sign that says lane closed, it was just around 7 pm so she was supposed to be working anyways till 8 pm as store closes at 8 pm. I couldn’t control myself n i confronted the first one n asked her how could she let other customers cut me off(she was the one escorting them, customer wasn’t at fault), i told her i am standing right here n waiting to be checked out. She said she thought i was with other customers who went to the far right lane who were checking out. she was just making an excuse as she can clearly see i was there waiting n i was alone. I felt like being mistreated. Hope those two black ladies gets fired n never will work at Sam’s. Very racists, stupid n misleading behavior they have, they will check you out depending upon how u look n dress up i think coz when i was helped by a Mexican cashier, i still saw that black cashier checking out others who initially put lane closed sign when i was waiting to be checked out by her. These kinda racists black people shouldn’t be working there, if they want to do n work however they want then they should own their own private...

I've had decent experience with this location, however my poor rating is towards the tire and battery department. The rep, Purner I think is his name was the one who approached me after waiting for 20min for someone to assist me. I came in to purchase 2 tires, one a flat and the other to match. I asked him if I still have any proration left and he discarded what I said and asked for my keys to check the tire even after I told him I have a flat on the right front. He comes back and states the same thing I told him already and so I asked again if its covered. Another rep named Charles showed and which they were talking amongst themselves in finding the same tire for my car barely making eye contact with me, the customer. They weren't discussing anything with me just themselves as if I didn't exist. Their customer service experience was of a newbie or just 2 guys that didnt give a single damn about customers. This Charles guy asked if I have my original receipt of the purchase of tires and stated I do have $31 of proration. I told him I dont have it on me and asked if it would show on their computer which he states that they dont have that info. I said that I'll buy the other tire else where but can go home and see if I find the invoice in which Charles all of a sudden finally put effort to his job and was able to find that info and printed my invoice. Needless to say I will never buy anything from that department. The next day I went to Discount tires where I bought 4 tires and they discounted the amount I paid on the tire from this location (which I'm doubting...
