San Miguelito — Restaurant in Houston

This is a little gem a friend told me about a while back. My friend said they had the best salsa verde. It's a thicker salsa with jalapenos and avocados and wow, it's spicy. I went last week to get salsa and chips, but the pictures of the food looked so good. I ordered migas to go!! I got home and the migas were still crunchy and delicious. This morning I went for dine-in, it's just so much better to eat it straight from the kitchen! Migas are crispy and they add diced tomatoes and jalapenos (migas are eggs scrambled with sliced fried corn tortilla strips). Served also with refried beans and red and green salsas. It's not on the best street in this area, Club Creek can be shady. Like everywhere in this city, use caution, lock your car doors. I only had the migas here and @$4.99 + coffee, good way to start...

I came here again trying to give them another shot after their tik tok wave ordered a quesadilla grande by itself then grand burrito and the pechuga de pollo plate for my son. Once I got home I live about 10 min away burrito was cold cheese inside not even melted quesadilla nor the burrito tortillas were cooked to crisp just warmed up. The plate for pechuga de pollo the chicken was cold besides the rice, also got old green sauce tasted bitter. I did get some tacos which they were ok still warm. Lady at the front said they put the cheese to melt which is a lie, flavor wise is good just can’t accept...

I came because I believe it was the daughter who posted about them on Tiktok. Some of the food was really good, and some of it was not. The pastor taco was some of the best I've had. The red enchiladas were probably the worst enchiladas I've ever had. The barbacoa was very greasy, and I could not stomach it. The chicken tacos were excellent. The red salsa was served cold and just ok. The green sauce and chips were good. The queso was decent but just tasted mostly like Velveeta. Beans and rice were good. The server was nice and attentive.
