Best pizza in town but SELENA at the counter is insolent and rude. This is the 3rd time we’ve ordered a 16” pizza and gotten a 14”. We used the word LARGEST and the non English speaking employees heard “large”.
The people made zero effort to remedy the situation but blame my husband for what they think they heard. The manager took the order but was visibly distracted by leaving for the day.
I tried to call and get some assistance but SELENA’s primary language is NOT ENGLISH! When she didn’t understand plain English I went back inside with pizza in hand. That’s where I encountered SELENA. She was rude and forceful from the start. What is more interesting is that SELENA told me that she was standing next to Santiago who took the order and she was not. She was across the work area talking with the guy who makes the pizzas. She lied to me when she said she heard the order.
Good customer service dictates that you never argue with a customer but find a way to resolve the problem. I told them this.
Two other guys showed up to back up SELENA’s lies in an attempt to bully me. I reminded them about the ethics of good customer service and they walked away. Yes. I spoke loudly to these people but I am not going to be bullied into accepting lies. Obviously they felt comfortable treating a customer like street trash since Santiago the manager was not there to witness the hideous behavior.
Their pizza is excellent but not worth dealing with rude and unprofessional employees. I would have paid the difference and gotten a larger pizza but I wanted nothing more to do with these people. I just left with a pizza that wouldn’t feed 6 people.
I think the owner should answer for the horrible...
Read moreI've order food from this place several time. I've encountered an issue twice with them the last 2 times I ordered. So I am officially never ordering food from here again.
First issue was a couple months back, I placed an order and the estimated delivery time was 45-55 mins. I didn't receive my food until an hour and a half later after I called, complained and tried to cancel the order. At first, the manager in charge refused to give me a refund, he tried to offer me a discount for my next order because the food was already on the way and I told him I would never order from them again so after a few minutes of arguing, he finally decided to give me a refund and still delivered my food. The food was cold by the time I received it, I took a bite and threw the rest away and the restaurant is just 10 mins down the street.
Decided to give them another chance and encountered a second issue. Placed my order at 1:37 and my estimated delivery time was 2:25-2:35. By 2:35, I was fed up. I called the restuarant to cancel my order and the manager said he didn't see my order! So for a whole hour, what the heck are you at work for? I'm disappointed by the service this place has provided. They clearly do not stay on top of things. The food is alright, I would rate...
Read moreWe have had Sarpino's all 3 times we've been to Houston, and I can safely say we'll make it mandatory to have it EVERY time we come here.
It ranks near the very top in terms of store-made pies for us. My wife eats the crust, and she NEVER eats the crust. It's that good. Thin, but not so thin the slice is unruly. And the texture is just perfect.
The Florentina and Midnight Express are our favorites, but I'm sure every single recipe is equally delicious.
They have a nice sized dining room (counter service only) with half a dozen tables or so (plenty of room to add more if they wanted) which was nice the one time we had some time and wanted to eat in, but this is your typical pizza delivery operation. That said, the gentleman behind the counter was courteous, and we enjoyed having a place to eat our pizza inside as the heat index was already 109° at 11:30 that morning!
I can't say it enough; this place is THE BEST and we simply love their pizzas! Thank you, Sarpino's, for the...
