Update: Sonic advised me they cannot refund my money because they never received payment although it's in my bank account that it was charged and I provided receipts through the app and email that was received. Spoke to a total of 4 representatives over the last few weeks to not have any resolution and have to go through my bank for an error that Sonic made. This is utterly ridiculous and time consuming for something that should've been handled on the day I placed the order. Not a way to treat your customers.
Me and my fiance ordered food online on 12-26-20 at the location, 3626 Old Spanish Trail, Houston, TX 77021. When we arrived at the location and tried to enter our station number to check in, the connection never went through. I pressed the red button for assistance and what we found to be the general manager (Lapold), came across a bit rude when trying to explain our situation. As I was trying to explain the situation to him, he cut me off and told us to hold in the middle of me speaking. We patiently waited for a response and after about 10 minutes of waiting, my fiance decided to go to pthe door to follow up since we didn't get a response. The manager at the location (David) advised my fiance they couldn't find our order but asked if we had the receipt. We provided David the receipt and he initially was going to give us our food since we provided the receipt from the mobile order but stated the general had to approve the order since it was a large order which only totaled $45.53. The general manager wouldn't approve the order although we provided our receipt. The final blow was to call the 800 number on the receipt which David advised us to do since at this point since we couldn't cancel the order. On top of that, we didn't get offered anything as an inconvenience for our loss of time and money, not even a soft drink. Actually the really final blow is the fact we had to go to another Sonic location in our area since we obviously had loss confidence at the 1st location, I must say the service at the 2nd location was much better. One of the reasons we did the order online was due to the customization of all our single orders and there was 4 of us eating, so going through that order over an intercom was not fun but the gentleman that helped us was fantastic. Overall, I really want to express my complete dissatisfaction with the 1st location we went to because I felt the general manager didn't really want to help us and that was evident from our initial transaction with him, he didn't even have the decency to meet us face to face or even apologize. David at least tried but that situation wasn't at all handle properly. The fact I had to call to get a refund (which is still processing, so technically still out $45.53 at this point) Hopefully this location will get this feedback because this is not a way to treat...
Read moreI love sonic, but THIS location is absolutely terrible! I have attempted to come here 3 separate times in 2 years.
The first time I came to this sonic a woman in the car next to mine was in a heated argument with someone over the phone. She looked in my direction and became hostile towards me, yelling and scream through her car window.
The second time some friends and I drove up to the stall, waited 15 minutes only to be told they were only excepting orders through the drive thru. Once at the drive thru they proceeded to tell us we could not do separate orders, forcing us to combine our orders into one. Then as we handed the cashier our debit card she tells us they are only accepting cash. We frantically scrounged for cash to just to pay for our food.
The third and final time I will ever go to this location was a disaster! We went at 10:30pm, the lights were all turned on and there was about a dozen cars. My boyfriend and I pulled up to the stall, pushed the button repeately for 15 minutes, with no answer. We then moved to the drive thru, waited at the speaker for 5 minutes, no one responded, drove up to the window looked inside and saw no one inside. All the cars before and after us were just as confused as we were.
This is the closest Sonic to UH, but do NOT waste your time coming to THIS location....

My pregnant wife had a craving for Sonic, otherwise I try to avoid Sonic at all costs, but she loves it, so I obliged. Ordered on the app so we’d be able to just pick up our order and head out. I was so wrong. The stalls are incorrectly labeled so when you’re in stall 15, there’s a sticker sign next to you with a guy waving showing that you’re in 16. We realized this when we arrived so we pressed the red button and let them know. They said they’d be right out. After 45 minutes of waiting, nothing. We pulled around to the drive through window and they said they found our order. We pulled up and they tried to charge us for someone else’s order even though we already paid on the app. It took him all of 30 seconds to make the order since we just ordered slushes, which we waited for 50 minutes for. I said thank you and have a good night, they said nothing and shut the window. They forgot the poppers but I didn’t care, I was just glad to get out of there. It doesn’t matter how much my wife wants to come back, I never plan on returning. They’re probably understaffed and overworked like everywhere else, so I mostly hope this just helps other consumers decide to...
