Short version: Go here if you want aggravation, frustration, the wrong order & to waste your time! Or better yet, skip the hassle & go to any of the many choices nearby. Zero stars for the rude manager.
Whole story: Just a little customer feedback for whoever is operating this business! Today the experience I had at the 1100 Blalock Sonic was literally the worst customer service ever. What should have been a simple process resulted in stress, frustration, and never receiving my correct order. Additionally I was yelled at by the manager on duty while trying to pickup my prepaid online order. Anyone in a management position should have customer service training and emotional intelligence. I recommend Mrs. Maria Martinez have a lot more training, or not work directly with customers. In fact, she simply may not be suited for the restaurant business, as it is service oriented.
Ultimately, dealing with her cost me an hour of my time, and the horrible interaction caused me to eventually order from a competitor, Whataburger. Where I had a wonderful pleasant online ordering & pickup experience. So I'm writing to you as a courtesy to let you know: "Your manager is driving away your customers"!
By comparison, I ended up ordering from Whataburger online & drove to pickup, walked in & gave my name & was provided with my ordered items! If your online ordering system does not allow for picking up by name or other identifying information, you may want to reconsider the process. I ordered from home on my laptop and went to pickup at 1100 Blalock Sonic and the manager was just awful. Refused to give me my order & kept insisting I check-in on my cell phone. When I explained I ordered and paid from my laptop at home, she refused to release my order. I provided my name, the items order & the last 4 of my credit card. She was completely unreasonable. I ended up going home & returning. Ultimately after much debate she gave me a drink & bag. Once home, I discovered the bag contained 1 chicken sandwich , which is not what I ordered, Thus I gave up & ordered Whataburger!
Bottomline: AVOID THIS SONIC LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! IT WILL RUIN YOUR DAY!!!...
Read morei made an online pickup order on my phone, i ordered some food (food itself was great, no problems there) and the âtwisted flamingoâ drink from the new(?) flavorista favorites menu. i instead received a mysterious green drink so i asked an employee and she didnât know what i was talking about until i showed a photo. (she was very nice and was just doing her job so my review does not reflect on her at all, just this location & sonic in general.) she went inside and checked and came back a few minutes later saying they donât have the flavors/ingredients to make it, but it seems to just be sprite, cherry & vanilla (which i am almost positive they have) and cream. frankly as a place that mostly serves drinks i would have expected more drink ingredients to be present đ she said maybe tomorrow theyâll have the ingredients but i wasnât offered any compensation or replacement. the drink i did receive is (i believe) the twisted lime red bull drink. i have no problem with this (it doesnât taste that good but i will deal) but if this is what i received, i am worried that others are possibly receiving wrong drinks which may have ingredients they are sensitive to (i.e. receiving dairy drinks when no dairy was ordered, receiving caffeine when no caffeinated drink was ordered, etc) which could be problematic for those with allergies or caffeine sensitive people (children, pregnant women, those with heart conditions etc.) this is the first time my order/experience at this sonic has been subpar and iâm honestly pretty disappointed but hoping...
Read moreIt was lunch time and kind of busy when I stopped by. Most of the experience was just a normal Sonic experience. The person taking the order was upbeat, had a friendly greeting and ask questions as to clarify our order. The only comment I'm making here and it is not about any member of the staff, was about asking for a drink refill. Now I used to actually manage a Sonic, which is why I frequent it quite often, because there's so many choices that I like. My complaint, is this. If you pull up to the car hop stand or you're sitting in the outside or inside dining areas and what a refill on your drink which costs over $2! Then Sonic needs to readjust their policy on this. Because I don't think asking for a refill is going to break the bank when you're charging over $2 for a medium size drink. Every other fast food type dining experience either allows you to self-serve a free drink or provide you with one when you ask your wait staff member to refill. McDonald's, Taco Bell, Kentucky fried Chicken, Burger King and so on all have self-serve refill stations. Since Sonic is primarily, encouraging you to pull up at a car hop stand and place your order and then sit there, as in the '50s, and listen to the music and enjoy your meal they should either reduce the price of a soda, to fall in line with a single serving or offer refills since their prices are similar to the aforementioned...
