I ordered the OG Cheesecake snow cone, egg rolls, chicken boudin balls, and the OG Birthday cake snow cone which was about $69 and some change. When I received my snow coneā¦. The slice of cheese cake wasnāt on the side like I asked, and it had WAY too much juice in it. WAY too much! It was literally melting and spilling over before I picked it up from the counter. (You could literally see the disappointment on my face.) My l friend had the OG Birthday cake snow cone, which they were out of blueberries. (Not a big deal but if Iām paying over $15 for a snow cone, the least they can do is have all the toppings) The egg rolls were cool, we later learned that they didnāt have any boudin balls (which I overheard them speaking about it in the back) That honestly shouldāve been communicated PRIOR so that the cashier would know to tell customers theyāre out of it instead of us ordering it and finding out later. We substituted for the nachos instead which werenāt all that good. š Canāt really describe the taste of the crawfish⦠but the cheese was dry. Iāve seen good reviews about it, which is why I substituted for that instead. Overall, youād do better off ordering a regular snow cone and adding your toppings instead. Service was coolā¦. But other than thatā¦. I was extremely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI drove 1 hour and a half just to try this place out for the first time and when i say my experience was horrible. I ordered my food at 6:06pm and by 6:58pm I was still waiting on my order when people who arrived after me received there's so ultimately i had to request a refund and left. I only ordered seafood egg rolls, nachos combo, fried oreos. Only 1 order was waiting before me and the guy was waiting on a burger. While I'm waiting on my food 2 girls came in (who i guess is regulars) and they ordered food which included seafood egg rolls which they received and I didn't. The girl that was passing out the food was on her phone the whole time not caring if my order was correct or not. The nice lady who took my order kept trying to get the guy who they said was cooking the food to complete my order but he didn't and she even went back there to make my nachos but when she came back it was 6:58pm and they still hadn't even fixed yet along remember that I ordered seafood rolls so at this point I was done and went and got food somewhere else. My time was not value, my order was simple, and I should not have to here the girl who was passing out the food talking and laughing with the 2 ladies who came after me making sure they received their order...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited Sweet Thangs with my family, and unfortunately, it wasnāt the experience I expected. While I love supporting Black-owned businesses, I felt the customer service could have been much better. The staff member assisting us was very quiet, didnāt offer any suggestions, and even forgot to add an item to my order.
What stood out most was the lack of engagement. I noticed a food smell and asked about it, only to be casually told, āOh, somebodyās cooking a burger.ā It took me a moment to realize they actually serve food there! A stronger emphasis on customer experience could really elevate this placeāmaking it more inviting, engaging, and memorable.
If the goal is to make Sweet Thangs a popular spot, Iād suggest creating a full experience, from enthusiastic service to a more professional and polished presentation. First impressions matter, and a warm, knowledgeable staff can make all the difference. I truly wanted to love this place, but I left feeling underwhelmed. Hoping to see some improvements because the potential is...
