I have eaten here a couple of times and honestly don’t know why I’ve returned. The food is OK. It’s not as good as other places but this is close to where we live. The service is always slow even when not busy. After my experience tonight I will never return. We were upfront told not to order Sushi as they had a big Uber eats special and it would take an hour and a half. Well it took that amount of time anyway and we only got to appetizers. The service was not good at all. It took about 10 minutes to even get a drink order and then another 10 before it came. Thai tea and orange juice. Not a tricky drink order. Then nobody came by for another 10 minutes or so. Finally we got our order taken and when it came, the waiter brought just one appetizer but we did have any silverware. There had not been a waiter to ask so I went up to takeout order area and asked. Another 15 minutes passed before my partner got her appetizer. Eventually a different waitress brought hers. When my main course came, it came out but my dining partner did not get hers. We asked about that and then they brought the wrong food but then never returned with the correct item. At this time I noticed a cockroach in my stir-fry embedded in my tofu. It took a while to get the waitresses attention but I pointed it out quietly-and she whisked it away, said she would cancel the order and we would not be charged. I was prepared to have something else offered but it was not and my partner still didn’t have a meal. At this point two hours had passed since we arrived and I was feeling nauseous after the cockroach episode. The waitress asked why we were still there. I explained My partner didn’t get her meal and I thought I would be offered a replacement. She apologized and asked what it was and they would get it but we decided we didn’t want anything to do with the place anymore. I said thank you but we are leaving. Then the original waiter we started with asked what was going on as we were leaving. I told him they never brought my friend her meal after the incorrect one was taken away to a different table and there was a cockroach in my meal. Sadly, I will never be back here. I wish I had read some more reviews about other “bug”, bad service (quite often rude) and hygiene issues. One star for the wait staff being pleasant despite their...
Read moreI’ve been wanting to try some good Thai food since I moved further north so I read some good reviews about this place so I went ahead and ordered Uber eats.
What I ordered:
Curry chicken puffs Chicken Satay Soft fresh shrimp spring rolls Pad Thai Pad see ewe
Okay so starting with the appetizers, the chicken curry puffs, chicken satay, and the spring rolls.
The curry puffs had really good flavor to it. The outside was crunchy but it was a little over cooked in my personal opinion. It’s like when you have crackers sit out unsealed and they become a little stale. It had that texture to it. The inside was still a little on the cool side but more luke warm.
The chicken satay was pretty good! The sauce was amazing and I loved how they provided a cucumber salad side which was very refreshing. I honestly loved it a lot more than Nara Thai.
The spring rolls were really really good. They were a little stingy on the shrimp part, but the peanut sauce was still warm and flavorful. I did like how there was a crunch to the spring roll from the veggies that were in it.
On to the entrees.
So I love Pad Thai. That is like the staple to Thai food. When I took a bite of the pad thai, the flavor was not right. It had a hint of gochujang in it (Korean chili paste). It did not taste authentic whatsoever. The meat was a little on the chewy side but the part that threw me off the most was the flavor. Honestly would not get it again.
The pad see ewe was good. It wasn’t too salty or saucy and it had a good amount of noodles and veggies in it. We ordered this one with beef as well and the beef was a little on the chewy side. But it wasn’t bad.
All in all, would I order here again, maybe just for the appetizers. Maybe not so much for the entrees. The 3 stars is mainly because the appetizers...
Read moreThai food is a favorite for me and my wife. Where we lived before moving to Texas, there are lots of Thai restuarants. Living here now, there aren't a lot to choose from but we started trying out places.
This restaurant started out great. The food and service were good, nice little quiet place and located in a nice walking area.
A few minutes after leaving, I realized that I had forgotten my bank card at the restaurant. I called them and they confirmed they found it and were holding it for me at the front desk. Amazing service in my mind!! However, several days later we started seeing strange charges from oriental supply stores and another oriental restaurant.
It sucks to be stolen from and we're working to shut off our card, but now we have to adjust billing for EVERYTHING. I hope this was just one person's lapse in judgement and not the whole company.
I've tried calling to figure this out but no answer. Send me a contact email or phone, please. I'd love to get...
