I do not write a lot of reviews but the ones I do write usually get thousands and thousands of views which is odd because I dont really know how. I think because I only write very sincere and real reviews. Today I am writing a review about TOKYO SUSHI AND RAMEN JAPANESE RESTAURANT. LISTEN TO ME. IT IS AWESOME. I have never been in a more simple, yet authentic, comfortable, well maintained, perfectly clean sushi, ramen restaurant EVER. I have never had better soup, I have never had better sushi, I have never had better fresher raw fish, ever in my life, from anywhere. IT IS DELICIOUS‼️❣️👍✅🎉 I have not tried the ramen because I try my best not to eat to many carbs which almost bums me out because I bet it is just as good as everything else and who doesnt love Ramen... The restaurant is immaculately clean, very well designed, and the atmosphere is authentic yet comfortable. I learned after two visits the restaurant is owned and operated daily by a husband, his wife and their daughter. The Dad is the Sushi Chef and he is as nice as the day is long. His smile is sincere. He actually remembered my name after visiting for only the second time which took me by surprise as he walked out and said, "Hello Michael, you are back," with a great infectious smile. His wife is the hostess and manager and she is also as nice as the day is long and remembered how much I enjoyed the fried jalapeno crab sushi when I visited for the second time in a week. Their daughter is a server and I learned she is also a scholarship recipient to Columbia University for NeuroScience! What? Are you kidding me? Who is this family? Incredible. The food is amazing, the chef is as personable as you could hope for, and he often comes out when not to busy to say hello and meet his guests who he seems to treat like family, offering new sushi not yet on the menu, offering discounts, which I refused to accept and did I say the food was amazing because it is amazing. Just so you understand how I am about my reviews, I went in and ordered hot n sour soup, a TON of Sushi and fresh raw fish over two visits and I ordered more to go for a friend. I am including the photos here below. ASK FOR THE Fried Jalapeno sushi with your choice of protein which I chose to be crab. OH MY GOSH it is so gooooood! In Fact, as I said, I also ordered one order of the fried jalapeno sushi to go and literally drove it to my friends home on Westheimer just so he could try it and of course he loved it also. The entire experience was fantastic. Houston is a sea of restaurants and it is so hard to stand out and succeed in the restaurant business but this fantastic small family has completely exceeded all of my expectations in every way possible. Please do me a favor, cancel you lunch plans tomorrow, go to the restaurant, look at how simple yet well designed and how clean the restaurant is, order your favorite soup, sushi, fish or ramen or order my favorite sushi the fried jalapeno crab stuffed sushi and savor every bite and use every bit of the sauce on the plate. I ti s delicious! YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS PLACE and I all but guarantee this will be your new favorite sushi, ramen, Japanese restaurant for years if not decades to come. Am I a little crazy? Yes of course, do you see how long this review is? But remember these little ol reviews from a nobody random guest that doesnt belong to a foodie group of any kind somehow get thousands of views I guess because of pure sincerity. Did I order hundreds of dollars of sushi over two visits and tip $200? Yes I did. I dont care. Am I rich? No, hell no, I have four sons and three in college but I dont care because it was totally worth it as it is so rare to see a restaurant this well done and well maintained by such a nice family. I love to see a family business that is perfectly run, perfectly clean and perfectly maintained because it shows they care about us as guests as much as they care about their own family and that my friends I am absolutely here for and THAT IS A REVIEW! Sincerely, Mcdflips

Grand opening. That’s my disclaimer. We decided to try the new restaurant with great hopes. If you stop reading, please know, grand openings are tough. I will go back for a redo, but I couldn’t do it tonight. The seating options are limited. I hate booth options with one side being the booth and the other side being chairs. It’s fine for couples because you can sit on the same side, but this venture was with my aunt and we wanted to talk; aka sit across from each other. We both like the booth, so one would have to adjust. I was willing to take one for the team. But… Since it was empty upon our arrival, I asked the hostess to relocate us to the all booth seating. It was a table for 6-8 people, so I felt guilt for taking a large table only to seat 2. After the language barrier/unwillingness (not sure which), we were seated at the large all booth table. Unfortunately, the ac was not working and that was something we couldn’t get over in the month of June in Houston, Texas. I think we noticed at first, but tried to get through the seating issues. With all this, it was too much to chance. The menu looked extensive and I think they might be a good place after they work through the kinks. We left for ac more than the seating. Can’t eat in the heat. Sushi, tempura, grilled, soups… all on the menu and I hope to try them again soon.

im shocked man. spent almost $30 on uber eats for this. im at work, working 12p-12a. 12 hour shift. needed a good lunch to get me through the day. as you can see pictured, i got probably the SMALLEST sushi roll ive ever seen. i ordered a side of eggrolls, only came with ONE eggroll, and that eggroll was extremely small. took me one minute to eat this. still hungry. and now im almost $30 poorer and STILL HUNGRY! whats up with these portion sizes? are yall feeding children only? what a waste of my money. while the food was good, it wouldnt fill up a toddler. much less a 25 year old man working a 12 hr shift. im seriously disappointed and hate that im 30 short. i couldve spent that at mcdonalds and fed me and someone else. im seriously heated, upset, and hungry. very disappointed, and theres nothing worse than eating and not having enough to get full. yall need to do better than that…. for these children portions, i would only pay $8 for this. MAX.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant with my family on 07/07, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We tried a variety of sushi, hibachi, ramen, and crab rangoon, paired with a selection of delicious beverages. I can confidently say that our visit was nothing short of delightful.

One aspect that stood out during our visit was the impeccable service. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She went above and beyond to recommend great options for us to try, and each dish she suggested surpassed our expectations.

The sushi was a real highlight and beautifully crafted rolls. The hibachi dishes were cooked to perfection, with tender meats and perfectly grilled vegetables. The ramen had a rich and savory broth and the crab rangoon was crispy and filled with a delectable cream cheese filling.

Overall, our dining experience at this new establishment was nothing short of awesome. From the exceptional food to the outstanding service, everything exceeded our expectations. This is definitely a place we plan to frequent in the future, and we highly recommend...
