Upon checking in 10 mins early, I proceeded to sit, and wait about 15 minutes before the owner walked over to me and asked how could I be helped. I told him I’m here for a Brazilian and nails. He told me it would be about 35-45 minutes before I be called I said okay well you can cancel the appointment bc what? I’ve already been here 15 PAST my scheduled appointment. He goes, Oh, you have an appointment??! Oh it’ll be 5 mins let me find a waxer!ā€ I asked him if he could see me ā€œcheck inā€ for my appt because if you couldn’t why’d I do it??? 1st red flag. 2nd: I literally watched the short stock fella waddle to about 3 different employees, Doing pedicures….to ask them to stop to do my wax. I’m undressed, wax is prepared station is getting set up. She proceeds to have a ā€œconsultā€-word used by Antwon (owner) while otp with me AFTER- about my wax. This woman proceeds to walk in and out of my room during my wax approximately 5 times in 15 minutes. The pricing on the website reflected $55-$65 depending on the type of wax. (Important to add I go longer in between bc I take well to waxing and grow back slower) Mai - she was my waxer - stopped bc I asked her to. The waxing was painful for some reason, more than usual. (I’ve been getting waxed for 10 years by multiple businesses/waxers never ran into this) Mai proceeds to tell me she had to charge me more bc it’s more work for her and she has to use more than the allotted wax strips (whatever tf this meant??). As I’m processing this, a new lady walks into my room, Kim. Kim and Mai proceed in dialect for about 2-3 minutes before Mai makes the decision to stop. She informs me that I’m too fat to wax and I shouldn’t be waxed by anyone. She then tells me that she’s charging me for her time and strips and that Kim will take over. Pats me on the arm and says she’s going to wax my face for a discount since I’m too fat for her to finish my Brazilian. She only does my eyebrows and cheeks before I say it’s ok no thanks. (Best decision I made so damn far) Kim starts on the remainder of my wax and pulls two strips off and proceeds to whip out a razor (I have no idea if this mf was clean or used - I sat up once I saw it so it ain’t matter). She is very apologetic and then blows my freaking MIND. Kim proceeds to *whisper* that she could do a better job…of waxing me…at her home. She could do more and way way cheaper…excuse me?? Still not done. She then gives me her number…HER PHONE NUMBER!! And tells me to call her but don’t tell the front bc she’ll lose her job…..I go to the front desk and immediately ask for little Antwon. He’s busy I say ok. Leave and call asking what time he gets in in the morning, briefly explain to the guy otp my situation. 6 mins go by and Antwon calls me via phone for a resolution. Man offers me a free pedicure for my troubles. I decline. 3 hours later I have the worst break out I’ve ever experienced and my skin on my face where she waxed and my inner thigh and top of my 😻 my skin was so broken it took weeks for me to heal completely. After day 4 I sought a dermatologist and my home Estitician in LA, both informed me I had a fungal infection from these nasty mfs DOUBLE DIPPING and ripping my skin. (Only reason I didn’t sue is bc it’s legal to dd in TX) I’m appalled by the business’s lack of professionalism, manners, and respect for customers. The racism and fat phobia paying Black customers give to this business ALONE, is crazy for you to treat us as anything less than you and your staff. I can’t speak on their other services but NEVER EVER EVER get a wax here. Don’t give your money to these ppl. They don’t prioritize cleanliness and quality over quantity of butts

Edit to add on 05/26/24, on this day, my husband and I visited this salon again after our our initial visit below, as we both agreed we enjoyed the salon during our initial visit. We had the pleasure of meeting Ben and Kim this visit. Ben and Kim both went above and beyond during this visit. Please keep in mind that the initial visit was with MY and we did not know the name of the staff that assisted my husband with his manicure. We are very pleased with the service the second time around, as well as the upkeep of the salon. We are both on the same page when it comes to making this our permanent salon moving forward. In addition to the amazing service, they’re currently offering a promotion for posting a review. I showed them I left a review on my last visit and they honored the free alcoholic lemon drop beverage that Is currently being promoted. I edited the photos to add the photos of my nails this trip (blue tips with silver design) and the lemon drop beverage that was provided to us as an essentive for leaving our last review, which we had no idea about. It should be noted that I’m very particular about my nails and I left very pleased both of the visits. Thank you to the staff and we plan on coming back soon for our bi-weekly nail upkeep. Today I found this nail salon on google, as I was really interested in finding a nice and better nail salon in my area. This salon isn’t relatively closer than my home, but I decided to make the 40 minute drive anyhow. I’m glad I did, since I was greeted with great service and a friendly, talented, and positive nail tech, MY. MY was amazing and I will be returning to see her again for my nails, as well as return for my pedicures with the gentlemen, Peter. My husband was happy with his pedicure and manicure as well, but unfortunately, we didn’t catch the name of the friendly tech that provided him with the service. We are hoping to see her again next time we visit the salon and we will be asking for her name to continue services with her as well. Thank you again to MY and Peter! They have top tier customer service and work. =)

These good reviews must be falsified and unfortunately the reviews are the reason I went here. Firstly, it seems like a nice facility. When I entered there were 3 people at the desk chatting it up with a couple, asking them to leave a Google review (I’m not a fan of this practice) but the staff seemed to really make sure they had a good time. Needless to say I did not get that same treatment. They have a bar area, not only was a not offered a complimentary drink they apparently have, I wasn’t offered ANYTHING AT ALL. Nothing! The guy working my pedicure didn’t speak much English, which was not a problem, but the girl who did my nails did, and I’m pretty sure she understood when I said I previously had, and wanted gel powder again. She spent the whole time on the phone, and he was staring into space. Next thing I know, I have gel polish being painted over my powder polish which is STILL VISIBLE. I’m not very confrontational but I’m pretty upset and disappointed by this point. Then both scurried off, like literally couldn’t get away fast enough. She left filed nail flaking all over my shoes which I had to take the time to clean before I could leave. He was so rushed to finish the pedicure by the end, he didn’t even wipe my legs with a hot towel, he used one fresh out the laundry. I know that for a fact because it was cold, soaking wet and the detergent smell was very noticeable. Oh and he never put lotion on my legs afterwards. So I left out with dry legs. The icing on the cake though? I walk to the counter to pay, I wasn’t greeted, she didn’t ask if my service was good, she asked for my name, pulled my bill and asked if I wanted to tip. Afterward she asked if I wanted a receipt I said No Thanks, she said you’re welcome, and just walked away! I’m still angry several days later because my nails will look awful in about a week. I rarely give one star reviews anymore more, but apparently if you don’t match a certain aesthetic, you won’t get equal service at this ā€œspaā€. I do not recommend their services.

Visited this establishment since I am doing a summer vacation out of town. I don't know how to explain it but since I was a first time customer, maybe I was treated indifferent. First, I got a regular mani ($17)/pedi ($32)/eyebrow wax ($12)=($61 total). I was not given the 10% discount for service over $35 as stated on their website. Not complaining on that part but it should be noted they do NOT give that at the front desk. Now what made my experience indifferent, upon entering, I was sent to the back quickly for my eyebrow wax. My waxer, as was told, just a regular wax multiple times, asked me three different times if I wanted to add brow tint ($36) total price. She told me my eyebrow were full/thick but the ends of my eyebrows were thin and it would make my face as a whole prettier to add tint. Next, my mani lady was talkative which I thought meant would give me great customer service but I told her to not cut my cuticles and to translate that to my pedi lady. My voice went unheard because they still push my cuticles back. My mani lady stated "Your cuticles are driving me insane, please let me treat them." (I have no problem with my cuticles being cut but I prefer going to a professional foot doctor for that service rather than trusting a salon who tools may or may not be properly sanitize). I don't even think she translated to my pedi lady not to treat my cuticles because even she decided to continue to push them back. Then, I was given a book with complimentary drinks listed and I was not given the chance to thoroughly look through it because my pedi lady took it away 3 minutes after handing it to me. My mani lady kept trying to sell me on getting gel for my nails stating that the polish would chip in the smallest inconvenience like washing dishes if I didn't get gel. My nails messed up as soon as I reached for my wallet to pay at the front desk. They do not sit you under a light/heat machine, the person(s) doing your nails just tell you it'll take 30-45 minutes for nails to dry so be careful upon leaving. I went in at 12pm and left by 12:50pm, and I mention that because my services seemed a little rushed. Overall, I felt the establishment tried to sell me to purchase more rather than providing excellent service for regular services and because I did not purchase more, my service was rushed and my nails messed up in the establishment. Maybe you all will have/have had different experiences. 50/50 on...

My husband was happy with his pedicure and manicure as well, but unfortunately, we didn’t catch the name of the friendly tech that provided him with the service. We are hoping to see her again next time we visit the salon and we will be asking for her name to continue services with her as well. Thank you again to MY and Peter! They have top tier customer service...
