Pho Basil — Restaurant in Houston

I will like to discuss the poor service I received at Pho Basil. Once I entered Pho Basil there was an employee at the register mugging at me from the point I stepped into the restaurant & as I made my way to the register where the employee was standing I asked him kindly, “Where can I sit”? The employee mugged me, then pointed at the door & told me I can go over there. I asked the employee again & he gave me the same response. At this point, I asked the employee should I stay or should I go, because if they had any kind of problem with me I would rather me leave then, but I stayed because I really wanted a meal. After a while of me dining in the restaurant I noticed another group of people came in the restaurant & the employees let them sit where ever they wanted with no question. As I waited for my food, I asked my server if I can speak to the owner or the manager regarding the situation & the they both refused to talk to me. The manager said he didn’t have time to talk to me & the owner just ignored me. I only stayed for the food, but the service I received was unexceptional. I respectfully request that the employees & employers be held accountable for their actions, cause a situation like this will only reflect on...

Just coming out of this place and never visiting ever again. Just thought to give them a try as I was passing by. Small place ambiance is good, very ordinary service. The cashier/servers were laughing discreetly during going inside and placing order I mean be professional and talk nicely. Didn’t check on us and just handed over the check to us. Secondly their food is not to the par, grilled chicken spring rolls were very soggy and the rice paper was so sticky that it stuck to the plate, had to waste it. IF YOU ARE A PHO LOVER LIKE ME AND KNOWS THE REAL TASTE OF BROTH UGH THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU AT ALL!! it was just boiled water with noodles and beef in it. Shrimp fried rice was the only thing I liked and ate to full my stomach. Upon complaining about the pho taste and asking them if they can take it off the ticket as I didn’t take second bite after trying first, they refused which is totally alright. Delicious Pho!! I ordered the same dish I get in every pho place in the area (pork noodles). Very delicious grilled meat and copiously served. Although I admit I did not like the egg roll. I prefer Chinese egg rolls to Vietnamese style. Service was very friendly and also quick. Also, most pho and Chinese places we go to in this area always smell overwhelmingly of bleachy cleaning products, but Pho Basil is he first place we've been to in a long while that doesn't have any distracting odors.
