Restaurant Review: Tom's Watch Bar From the moment we stepped into Toms Watch Bar, I knew I was in for something special. Nestled on a quiet street corner of DT Houston the ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy and refined — natural lighting, industrial feel and soft pop/popular playlist music that never overpowers conversation. Love the Inside-Outside layout of the place. So nice. The service was impeccable. Our server Ari was attentive without being intrusive, offering excellent recommendations and sharing just the right amount of detail about the menu. Sam makes you feel just apart of the Tom's family. Now, the food: absolutely phenomenal. Main course, All American Burger with fresh trimings, which was cooked to a tender medium-well, Birria Tacos with cheese and chips on the side so flavorful! I chose the house-made Prime Rib Dip — a melt-in-your-mouth experience that left us both speechless. Drinks were an added treat the lavender lemon drop was delish. The subtle hibiscus floral note & Watermelon Redbull elevated a classic Tom's Rita into something truly memorable. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared, and nothing was rushed. It's clear the chef here cooks with both skill and heart. Tom's isn't just a restaurant — it's an experience. Whether you're celebrating or just craving a perfect meal, this place delivers. Did I mention it's a SPORTS FAN HEAVEN?!? Ever DT Houston check them out. Rating: 5/5 — A must-visit gem.

It is a decent place to watch any sporting event, a cool atmosphere for that but my rating is simple just so low because our server malachi was horrible. Soon as he came over he had an attitude and seems irritated to even take our order I know it was super busy but that frustrating shouldn’t have got taken out on me and my group some paying customers. One friend asked him for a recommendation he had the nastiest altitude and said idk everything instead of simple giving a recommendation. We ordered drinks and appetizers, our drinks came out first, we sat behind the host and instead of trying to give us the appetizers we paid for he offer them to her because she said she was hungry until we turned around and made a comment. He then dropped them in our table and walked any he didn’t check on us throughout none of our time here, he was rude when we asked about signing up for the rewards program overall he made our experience here horrible. I wouldn’t be so hard if he treated all his tables like that but I watched him be super nice and apologetic to the table around us but when it came to us little to no respect was giving. The food was decent overpriced in my opinion but I don’t think this is a bad location to go, if you go here just MAKE SURE YOUR WAITER IS NOT MALACHI.

Another solid experience at Tom’s Watch Bar! I came back to Tom’s Watch Bar for another visit, and once again, they did not disappoint! This time, Kayla was our server, and she made the experience even better. She was attentive, friendly, and had great recommendations. The food was on point, and the atmosphere was perfect for watching the game. I went for the crispy buffalo chicken tenders, and they were absolutely packed with flavor—just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. Paired with their ranch dip, it was the perfect combo. I also tried the loaded tater tots, and let me just say, they were cheesy, crispy, and totally satisfying. The cheese sauce wasn’t too heavy and had the perfect consistency to cover every bite. The portion sizes were generous, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. As for the ambiance, with multiple screens showing all kinds of sports, it’s easy to get lost in the excitement. It’s great to have a place in Houston where you can relax, enjoy good food, and not miss a second of the action. Special thanks to Kayla for being so awesome! Can’t wait for the next game night here!

Anya was the best on a game day! Tom’s Watch Bar is the best!

Edit 3/21: I never really post review, especially not bad ones as I believe people can have off-days and stuff happens so why would I try to damage their business for one bad night. However, I need to talk about my experience at Tom’s Watch Bar. My boyfriend and I have been to Tom’s more than a handful of times to grab drinks, watch sports, or just enjoy the fun atmosphere. It’s always been reasonably priced and good drinks/food, so it was our go-to place to watch a game. This will be long and I have never written a review like this but PLEASE READ THIS.

We went to Toms to watch the Texans play on a Saturday with my boyfriend’s coworkers. We got there around 2/3pm and stayed until around 7/8 pm. We also got drinks as well as dinner while we were there. As we were leaving, we checked out and I (stupidly) did not get a receipt. While we were drinking, I am usually pretty aware of our spending and would have noticed if I signed a receipt of over $250. BUT the next day my boyfriend looked at his bank account and noticed a $450 CHARGE from Toms. We thought maybe his friend’s food/drink was put on our ticket, but after asking we realized that this was our total for THE TWO OF US. Again, we did not have a receipt so we couldn’t prove whether we did or didn’t have that much to drink/eat but it seemed pretty absurd. We let it go though.

Fast forward to a few weekends ago, my parents came to visit and we went to Toms to watch college basketball on St Patrick’s Day weekend. We were there for a few hours, got some appetizers and a few drinks each. As we were checking out, I specifically asked the waiter to show me the charges on our ticket so I could make sure they were correct, and they were. Our total for the FOUR OF US was around $250 and I left a 20% tip (my dad charged his card). I specifically remember it being this amount because we all joked that me and my boyfriend had apparently previously spent twice that amount during a weekend during football season. Fast forward to today and my dad calls me to tell me that he had a total charge from Toms Watch Bar of $431. This was NOT the amount of our original ticket. We luckily saved this receipt and he is in the process of finding it so he can dispute this charge to his bank.

BUT I want everyone to please be aware of how much you are being charged and MAKE SURE you check your bank account to ensure it matches your receipt. The first time was one thing but twice is crazy. Something weird is going on and I will not be back. Tom’s lost some loyal...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tom’s Watch Bar, and the experience was truly elevated by our exceptional waiter, Raylon. From the moment we were seated, Raylon provided attentive, friendly, and service that made our evening truly memorable. Raylon was incredibly attentive, ensuring that our glasses were always full and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The recommendations they provided were spot on, helping us choose dishes that perfectly suited our tastes. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they took the time to explain each dish in detail, which added to our anticipation and enjoyment. What truly stood out, however, was [Waiter's Name]'s warm and welcoming demeanor. They made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant, taking a genuine interest in our evening and ensuring that everything was to our liking. Their professionalism and courtesy were evident in every interaction, and they handled even the smallest requests with a smile. Overall, Raylon was a credit to Tom’s. His dedication to providing exceptional service is evident in every aspect of his work, and he truly made our dining experience unforgettable. If you're looking for a place where you'll be treated with warmth and care, look no further than Tom’s Watch Bar, be sure to...
