Torchy's Tacos — Restaurant in Houston

It is LOUD!!! Very loud. Be prepared by the extreme noise level. Between the music, people, restaurant noises there is no way to enjoy a meal by focusing on the food.

There is a large menu printed on the wall and individual menus in a stack. You use a kiosk to place your order and there may be an employee who can help You navigate it. The employee that helped me was fantastic! He answered my questions, showed me the sizing options and offered recommendations. It was a great experience. You pay right at the kiosk so your payment method never leaves your hand. I was given a buzzer and a cup and sent on my way.

The drinks area is well stocked. There's a Bar, too, but I don't drink. It looks well Maintained as well.

Food arrived warm and was flavorfull. The Diablo salsa was really tasty witha small amount of spice. The green salsa was lemony but good. Not a fan of the tomatillo salsa; that one tasted like tomatoes and water with no other flavor.

I ordered one breakfast taco (the wrangler) with no cheese. It was one taco but it was satisfying.

The Damn Good Tots (no cheese) were crispy and easy to dip in the salsas.

The Grande Burrito with green chile pork ($2+) was a disappointment, though. The rice comes with corn but it's not listed on the menu. So, I didn't know. I don't eat corn, so, I was unable to eat it. It was a good size, albeit when I tore it apart it had more guacamole and sour cream than anything else.

I would order again but i would not dine-in. I ended up with a headache from how noisy it is. It was very busy, so, i guess others don't...

Some time last year I came to this torchy’s. I was picking up a DoorDash order. The younger guy gave me the order I asked for because I gave him the name and he gave me the order. I proceeded to walk out the door. This older Caucasian lady called me and asked me can I see what order you’re picking up But the younger guy already gave me the order as I explain. I was trying to explain to the older lady why would you ask me what’s the name on order after I was already given the order and I already said who I was picking the order up for. I asked the lady can I speak with the manager but she tried to inform the manager to tell what happened. When it was time for me to talk with the manager she said to the older lady don’t worry I got this. The manager was a Caucasian girl with locks hair style, she was OK with whatever she was told. I say this because the manager behavior was unprofessional and she did not handle this situation the right way. The older Caucasian lady was crying and apologize after she realize what she done. This was at the time when people started stealing DoorDash orders. The problem for me was you don’t pick and choose who you think gonna steal a order.. before I talkedqq to the older lady from the beginning, I watched them and they didn’t treat other races the same way I was treated. I recently visited Torchy's for the second time, drawn back by the exceptional tacos I had experienced at a different location. Unfortunately, my experience at this location was vastly disappointing. Despite ordering only two tacos, I waited over 30 minutes for my order, while others who ordered after me received their larger orders sooner. When I requested a refund after 25 minutes, I was told that my tacos were almost ready. After waiting an additional 10 minutes, I again requested a refund, but was told that a manager was needed to process it. Despite being assured that the manager would arrive shortly, they never appeared. Eventually, I was given my tacos, but by that point, I had already waited too long and chose to leave without talking to the manager. Upon trying the tacos later, I was disappointed to find that they were overly salty and the seasoning was unpalatable. I later discovered that others had previously reviewed similar issues with the seasoning at this location.
