Whataburger — Restaurant in Houston

I hate using this Whataburger because they always mess things up. The location near Houston Christian University on 59 and Fondren is much better. I ordered an online order of a shake because my son had his wisdom teeth pulled out and he was hungry. Even though I hate going to this location, there was traffic and I was trying to get back to the HOV near Hillcroft. I got out of the car after already having paid for my shake and was told that their shake machine was not working. They told me I would need to contact customer service to get a refund. I spoke to the manager named Elvis, who is a very nice guy and told him it was absurd that I have to contact customer service for their machine, not working. He said that his stores policy is that online orders have to get refunds from customer service. That’s a terrible policy to make a person have to spend extra time getting a refund for the problems they have with their equipment. It is clear to me that Elvis is a good manager, and this is not his fault, but someone needs to improve the service there. The time before I went there, they limited water cups to one cup. Loved Whataburger but this time I was pretty disappointed. I was excited that the mty melt was back . It's my wife's favorite burguer and I also liked it alot. I ordered online and when I arrived they had me waiting on the B line to have it brought out to me. That's great since I can skip the whole line .But, when some kid from the drive through brought it out he came out with an attitude. I asked him if they gave me ketchup since usually they bring out an extra tray for ketchup and napkins which he didn't have. With an attitude and angry face told me they should be in the bag and he walked away before I could check. There was no ketchup or even napkins. I understand they are busy but that is no reason to have bad costumer service. If you don't like your job kid go find another one. Also the mty melt was no where near as good as it used to be. Seemed to be missing alot of sauce and barely had any ingredients. Nearly a plain and dry burguer. Also the atmosphere around there is really ghetto . I received a late night call from my son saying he went to the restroom for five minutes. Came out and his car had been towed. The store manager and one worker acted like they didn't know what he was talking about until I arrived. Manager was still acting like he didn't know what happened but was caught up not telling the truth 10 minutes later. I called the non emergency police number and spoke with the tow company because they were still towing people vehicles in my presence. Long story short they do have a tow sign on their property and the manager is the one calling the tow to pickup the cars. It was an illegal tow and I will seek justice!! To Mr. Manager: I will not disclose your name and yes you have a sign about not parking on the property but you did not follow the rules/regulations to have a car towed. I was there at least 40 minutes and only 1 couple showed to eat there. I wouldn't eat here if they offered me a free meal!! Lastly, people be aware, don't park there because they are watching you...
