Hello, My name is Kimberly Woods! I’m having issues with my phone so I’m using a co workers phone because this situation bothers me so much because I’ve experienced this once before in my younger days. I visit Whataburger on little york pretty much everyday and I see the same young man doing everything by himself. He always has a smile on his face and you can tell he really loves his job and always makes me feel welcome. He always makes sure I have everything I need before I exit the building but this particular day12/21/20, I visited the location and of course, There he was happily greeting every customer but minutes later, I can over hear his manager yelling at him from a far and telling him to clock out and go home! Meanwhile I’m wondering why because he seems to be doing multiple tasks and What really had me in shock and disgusted was when I overheard the young lady which I believe was the manager in charge telling the young man that he couldn’t get any water and go! She specifically said No, you cannot have any of my water and leave my building! I’m sitting there in disbelief like this young man is really running around and is refused drinking water and seeing that take place really kind of rubbed me the wrong way and all this was going on as the young lady on the register was standing there having a whole entire conversation with a customer while we wait for our food which took forever and if I remember correctly, The lady which seems to be in charge was holding a conversation as well! This young man always seems to be in good spirits when I visit; but as she refused him water as she continue yelling like a parent with their child at him, I can see the hurt in his face as he stood in shock and that really bothered me. Just because you are in a higher position doesn’t give you the right to treat another human being that type of way because the young man definitely didn’t do anything wrong to deserve that treatment. I even heard the young man asking for help before it took a turn and next thing you know, The manager screaming! Very bad for business and especially for a manager to act like that towards their employees while us customer’s sit in disbelief. It’s a shame to get denied a drink of water! Even after that young man left, I can still hear loud talking and by this time I can hear employees as well as the manager discussing the young man like he was at fault and I know for a fact that he was actually in the right and I also felt that he maintained himself very well in that...
Read moreI don’t know about during the day, but at night this is NOT it. There were three cars in the drive-thru. I was the third. All I ordered was a large fry. It took FOREVER for the first two cars to leave.
There was trash EVERYWHERE! Just look at the pictures. All around the building.
Over the speaker, the cashier sounded pleasant. When I got to the window, I greeted her. With a straight face and no acknowledgement she gave my total and held out her little card reader. Had an attitude when I needed to scan my Whataburger app. She said “Oh.”
I get my fries immediately. Bag is warmish so I already knew it was gonna be disappointing. The fries were not hot. They had to have been sitting for a while because the inside was already gritty.
Of course there was attitude when I asked for fresh fries. After that I have two people hovering past the window to look at me. It made me very uncomfortable but now that I know there’s three of y’all, go do your job! If you don’t like your job, why are you there?
So they have me pull forward to wait for fresh fries. Mind you, now I’m sitting with my window almost directly next to the trash can in the photo, and rolling over the trash on the ground. A truck pulled up honking at me to move up more even though he had room, but I was not about to have that trash in my face.
Cars who pulled up behind me much later were already leaving with their food. Thankfully the fries were hot the second time around but with the amount of time I waited, and the amount of people walking around aimlessly, it should’ve been right the first time. Glad I didn’t get anything else because looking at the reviews, I probably would’ve been pretty upset having to wait LONGER for a burger.
I do wish they did like other locations and asked what kind of ketchup I wanted instead of one regular and one spicy. But honestly I wouldn’t expect anything more than the bare minimum from this location. Visit at your...
Read moreOne bad experience will not deter my love for Whataburger, after all it's a Texas treasure. However the customer service, or lack there of I just received was so horrible I feel it necessary to take to the internet to tell everyone just how crappy this location is. So I pull up, and like most people do I asked for a sec to look at the menu, so far so good. I then tell the guy working the drive through I was ready to which he mumbles something in the microphone, I said "pardon me?" to which he now in an annoyed tone of voice, not quite a yell but clearly annoyed says to me "I'M LISTENING!" Whatever I just want a burger so I ask for the #4 with a DR. Pepper to which Mr. Personality replies "Do you want cheese?" I'm annoyed at this point and tell him well the menu calls it a Jalepeno and cheese whataburger so yes I want cheese. His response "Damn sorry, is that it?" I proceed to order a #1 with ketchup, lettuce, and cheese only. This is met with a long pause and then "give me a moment" this guy then sits there complaining about taking our order and talking crap under his breath to someone else working there, he either didn't realize the mic was on or didn't care. I then hear him tell the person he's talking to "you take their order" I'm a native Houstonian I can handle rude people it's like standard issue around here, but what I absolutely cannot tolerate is incompetence. It was a simple order I gave him combo #s and expressed clearly and succinctly what I wanted. How that could confuse this guy so badly is beyond me. at this point I lost all confidence in this guy to take my order so I did what I suspect he was trying to get me to do. I drove off and got some dairy queen which was delicious. And their people knew what...
