Luigi's Pizza — Restaurant in Howell Township

Luigi's of Howell has the best pizza in Monmouth county! From their pizza to their pasta, everything they make is made with love. Owners Steve and Anthony greet everyone with a smile, and from the moment you walk into their door you feel like family. One of my favorite dishes is the gluten free penne with bolognase. Being gluten sensitive, it is challenging for me to find restaurants that not only have gluten free options, but can make it well. The first time I ordered the penne with bolognase it literally never made it past the car; it was THAT GOOD! Many of their dishes can be made gluten free, so be sure to tell them about any food allergies. Every once in a while I will also get myself a slice of their Margherita pizza (my family's favorite) even though I know my stomach will pay for it later. Again, worth it because it's just that good. In addition, Luigi's has some phenomenal specials going on for super bowl, so if you want to surprise your friends and family, order early! :) Much thanks to Steve and Anthony for all the amazing food and all the surprise creations along the way! The food here was great though I felt the service was what I will describe as awkward. The people working the front desk seemed very informal, taking my order and walking away even though I was ready to pay. Instead I had to ask to pay, which they then told me if I wanted I can pay at the end (yes I understand that, but by asking to pay I clearly wanted to do it then as a show of good will and to get it over with; I like paying first so I can eat in peace). It is kind of the place where they ask what you want and then expect you to leave.

As for the actual food, I will say the grandma pizza tasted amazing. It was arguably one of the best I have had, and I have been to pizza places all over the state. The price was not terrible, as it was around $3.50 a slice or so.

Based on these things, I think a 4 star review is in order (I would give 4.5 stars if possible). The food was amazing and I can deal with awkward service. I would recommend this location based on...

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I placed an order through doordash for myself my manager and my co-workers a total of 7 of us. I finally get the order and realize I only have 6 of the 7 items ordered. I didn't get my managers meal. I call Luigis and advise of the issue and the guy said he over looked that it had a quantity of 2 for one of the items. I ask the gentleman if he can deliver it ASAP since it was paid and i had already waited an hour and it was their mistake. This man said no its too far (20 mins) and for me to contact doordash and have them redeliver. In that case i would of had to of paid double the tax double the tip and double the time for their overlook. I work for a company where we have hundreds of employees who order all the time and i promise i will do my best to advise to NEVER order from this foolish place ever again. What's...
