First of all I want to say, my family and I drive from the Eau claire area to Hudson specifically to stop and eat at this establishment. We've had great experiences each time. We’ve both been servers(at Applebees in particular) and know that everyone has bad days. But tonight we experienced the absolute worst service from Sydney D. We waited and waited without her even checking in on us. My boyfriend ordered a new beer since the first one was bad. He had to walk up to the bar and ask for a new one since our server was nowhere to be seen. I also ordered a second lemonade and mexi ranch. NONE of it came. I had to walk myself over to the HOST and ask for napkins and to send our server over when she could. The host brought us our napkins. Still no server. The beer finally came. My boyfriend’s fiesta lime chicken was extremely dry. By the time Sydney came over to see us, we were all finished with our meal. She asked us if we needed our bill. My boyfriend told her that we didn’t receive anything we’d asked for and that his food wasn’t good. She gave him an attitude and began walking away without letting him finish what he was saying. Keep in mind he was not being rude by any means. (Roll the cameras and you’d see) No apology, not a word. We walked up to the host stand and talked to the manager. We told him that the service was terrible and that Sydney was rude. He offered to comp our entire bill which we very much appreciate but we weren’t looking for a free meal. We expected to be treated with kindness and respect. Sydney also walked up to the host stand to finally hand us our paper bill while we were speaking with the manager. She didn’t want to hear what my boyfriend was saying so she laughed, said “okay.” And walked away mid conversation, yet again. We all have bad days but we would NEVER treat paying customers the way that she treated us. Her attitude was absolutely disgusting and I really hope she loses it. Take accountability and apologize for the poor service. Don’t run away when things gets hard. We will never be setting foot in this...
Read moreWe visited on a Saturday evening with 2 young kids, got there about 5:20 based on time stamp of leaving our house. They seemed a little hectic inside, but several open tables. We did notice large sports team groups there, one leaving and one just got there. We were seated after a few minutes and were able to order apps and drinks pretty quick. Noticed the really large group was just ordering drinks, commented to my wife that we should have ordered meals too so we had them in before the large group, but at least we had appetizers so we could be patient. After about 10 minutes or so the waitress brought the kids juice boxes and waters for us, said the bar tender would be working on our drinks soon. Waited another 15 to 20 minutes and nothing. Noticed food kept coming out to other tables around us, they were getting drinks. We had no more updates from the waitress, tried to flag her down to order our food at one point but couldn't get her attention. Noticed the bartender getting out the blender maybe for our blended Margherita? Nope, looks like he was making shakes and drinks for the large group. At that point we gave up hope and patience and left at 6:05. Left a 5 on the table for juice boxes, and went to the bar to tell the waitress to cancel our order.
We knew it might be slow, but the service was nonexistent. At least give us an update or something on our food. Other than the one stop with the juice boxes, there were no other updates for 20 minutes. We don't go here often, as it does seem to be one place where we run into service issues regularly over the years. You'd like to think it would change. Worst part was, aside from being down 5 bucks, if we had left before 6 I would have gotten my 250 steps for a 9 out of 9 day!! Read moreDo not go here with with 5+ people in your group. I've had 2 poor experiences eating here with groups of people. First was a reservation of about 12 people (we called earlier that morning for 8pm), service was longer as you might expect from a larger group but when it came to the bill every bill was wrong. Specials were charged full price, guests had other guests checks on them, etc. Took 1 full hour after giving our credit cards for her to give the final card back. No manager interaction. I called the manager the next day explaining this situation, he gave me and 1 other member of our group a $10 gift card, (who also called) and said this would not happen again. It happened again. The second time we went with a group of 7, one of the guests in our group got the wrong order. The SAME waitress said she would go back to the kitchen and ask for the correct order. 20 minutes later, our entire table is finished eating and she comes back to tell us that the kitchen is completely out of what he wanted, with a lame excuse blaming the kitchen. The manager at this point hovered behind here while she was telling us this, asked the guest if he wanted anything, and he told her no. Apparently they thought the issue was resolved because without a word the manager and the server walked away. Tldr: Poor management, don't go here with groups, 2-4 people per table seems to be what they can...
