Panda Express — Restaurant in Hudson

This location is convenient for a quick healthy(ish) meal of white rice and grilled chicken on the way home from work/training, so I typically stop in around the same time once or twice a week on my long days for a little while now. The only reason I (and a couple others I know) continue going to this location is because of one of the employees, Austin. He is the ONLY employee that gives proper portion sizes. He is also one of the only people capable of working under rush pressure and still giving great customer service, while also constantly helping the other employees to continue being functional and focused at their own stations instead of jumping all over the place flustered. Sometimes I feel really bad watching the confusion he has to deal with while maintaining a cool collected attitude. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to ask several employees what station they're supposed to be working on (even though I won't, that would just make it worse when coming from a customer) because they just look lost and like they're not actually doing anything. With Austin this location gets 5/5 stars. Without Austin, we're looking at a generous 3/5 stars. As a business owner, I fully believe credit needs to be given where credit is due. Sadly, good employees like him with a solid work ethic are hard to come across and when they are, they don't get the recognition they deserve. Staff is a huge part of what makes or breaks a business, so I hope the owners/managers are aware of what he brings to the table, which is why this review is 100% necessary. We usually have a good experience here other than the food sometimes taking a while in the drive thru. I stopped tonight after work after checking that they close at 9:30. I was greeted by a very rude young lady who said "we close in 10 minutes so we're out of a lot of food and everything is made to order". I told her that I thought they closed at 9:30 (it was 8:48 when I got there). She replied and said the drive thru does close at that time but that the cook doesn't like to cook past 9 because they don't want to waste food. Which I can kind of understand, but she was very rude. A few of the things I ordered she kept saying "umm that will take about 5 minutes to make", like she was trying to convince me not to order it.

We stopped here on a Saturday on our way to the Cities for a weekend stay. Tyree M served us and was patient when my boyfriend didn't realize his question, "Is there anything else you'd like to add," (I paraphrased that, I don't remember the exact words), also meant the little sides like crab rangoons, and egg rolls. He quickly rang them into our order and agreed to bring all our food at once when the orange chicken I was waiting on was finished. Tyree didn't forget a single item on our order when he brought it to us at our table and even offered to fetch us forks even though I'd already gotten some. We originally ordered our meal to go and when Tyree brought our order it was on a table tray, however, there was a to go bag as well underneath it all.
