My Husband, 7 year old Son and I decided to go here to see if it would be a nice place to treat our family and friends for lunch after our upcoming event. From the moment we walked in, we realized how eerily quiet it was. I know this is a strange thing to complain about but it was early Friday evening and not the kind of hustle & bustling sound that you'd expect to hear in a restaurant at the end of the week around dinner time. The place was clean and a decent size. Parking was good. They had a dry erase board at the front that had, "Wait to be seated." written On it and behind it was a claw game with small balls and stuffed animals in it. Dining area is on the left & the counter and kitchen is on the right. We waited a minute before a young woman yelled from the kitchen, "Hey guys, sit where ever you'd like!" So we picked a back booth & climbed in. On our way to the table, we noticed a few 28 inch flat screen T.V.'s highly mounted on the walls, close to the ceiling. One was above the entry of their arcade game room with a crappy picture. The one that was mounted above the buffet station had a better picture. An old mob movie starring Robert Deniro had just came on as we sat down. Not very kid-friendly. When our server arrived with menus after 5 minutes of being seated, she was pleasant but looked unorganized & disheveled. She was not wearing a uniform. No one else working there was either. We found that weird. She was wearing plain clothes. A jogging jacket with a T-shirt, jeans and she stated to us that she was having a trying day because her shoe lace broke moments earlier and her pen just died. We gave her our drink order and she returned with our drinks promptly, then asked us if we were ready to order. We told her that we needed a few more moments to decide. My Son asked us if he could play games in their arcade game room in front of us. Although they do have a nice selection of games to play, such as classic rampage, a racing game and two or three others, we told him no since we weren't carrying any cash. Moments later she returned to take our order. We ordered a regular sized BBQ Chicken pizza and a regular sized Chicken alfredo pizza. Both with hand-tossed crust. It took 35 minutes for our order to be prepared and brought to our table. Our Son was getting antsy and we felt forced to watch the mob movie that was on T.V. since our wait seemed fairly long. I just can't get over how quiet it was. Like library-quiet and there were three other tables of people dining also and it was still nearly silent with the exception of the door bell dinging every time someone entered/exited and an occassional pot banging/clanging in the kitchen. You could also hear the kitchen employees chatting and it seemed loud but that's just because it was so darn quiet. The T.V. volume was turned up LOW on ONE of the T.V.'s & no music/muzak at all. When our pizzas arrived, they looked perfect & were piping hot. They smelled great & tasted fantastic. Our Son enjoyed the BBQ pizza the most. I found out by asking him and his response was, "This one, Mom." He replied with a small whisper. Now you know when a 7 year old boy feels the need to whisper in a pizza joint, something's wrong. Yes? No? Anyway, moments after our first bites, our disheveled server returns to ask how everything was tasting & asked if we needed drink refills. We told her that our pizza was perfect. It tasted great. We dug in with both hands. Super yummy. We couldn't help but notice/use the roll of paper towels that was tucked in the corner of our table. At first we thought it was a mistake but nope. We looked around and saw that every table had a roll. My Husband and Son went to wash their hands after eating & said that the bathroom was nice/clean. The server took our card for our bill. After waiting 8 minutes, we went to the counter to find her in the kitchen rear handling food. She sees us & goes to the register & exclaims, "ugh- we need more computers." As she waits while someone else uses it. She still hadn't ran our...
Read moreWanted to try a new place. Ordered a salad, meat lovers pizza and cheese garlic bread.
For taste the pizza was good, not the best I've had and wouldn't make a drive for it but was satisfying. The cheese bread was really good but was upset I couldn't enjoy it fresh. For the salad ehhh.....not very much lettuce AT ALL and they chop up itty bitty onions to the point where it's unbearable to a person who doesn't like onions so here's your warning! The other toppings were great but we were only able to get 1 pouch of ranch because there wasn't anymore.
There's arcade games which was awesome because I have 2 boys to keep entertained but the change machine was broken and they were only able to give us a certain amount of quarters because they were almost out.
So onto the service. The waitress was really nice. She was new and let us know that she didn't know everything yet. That was good to know so we didn't put too much pressure on her but the people behind the counter and cooks were rude to her the whole time we were there I felt really bad for her. She said the kitchen staff kept telling her they lost our order of cheese bread. We wanted the bread with the salad and the kitchen put it in after we got our pizza. I didn't want the bread anymore but I felt bad for the waitress because you could tell she didn't want to step on their toes so I just let it be. Eventually we were done eating and she had to ask for our bread so we could leave. Leaving I gave her cash and was waiting for change, it was taking awhile and I finally heard her trying to argue with a young girl in a red sweatshirt that her table was leaving and needed a $5 to give her but the girl was rude and wouldn't help her open the other register. I finally told her to keep the $5 once they gave it to her so I really...
Read moreWent there at 5:30 pm on a Saturday night. I genuinely have not seen a pizza restaurant that busy for dine in locally ever. Not even back in the 90s-era pizza hut days. Our order was misplaced for a little bit as it was crazy busy in there, for good reason. One of the staff members came to our table as he noticed we had been waiting a while. Asked about our order and went and found it. Was still hot, thankfully. A part of the hand tossed crust was a little mushy because they used fresh mushrooms. I love fresh mushrooms so I can understand that. The person who brought out our pizza gave us a 10 dollar gift card to thank us for understanding and the crust not being up to their standard. I have had their hand tossed before with no issue. About 15 minutes later while we were finishing up the food, they brought us out a thin crust with all of our toppings that was partially baked so we could try the difference at home on our own time as well as making it right by the customer. The pizza fries were great, and the pizza (especially the thin crust) was outstanding. They source their sausage from a local butcher, and it was absolutely on point. Best sausage on pizza locally for sure. And the slices are totally foldable. Really made the us as the customers feel good walking out of there all around. The owner was there and is just a stand-up guy. I'm happy to see that they are thriving in a competitive pizza scene where others besides carbones have just not made it. Well deserved, and thank you for the...
