I very rarely write a bad review. Check my profile. But this place should not be calling themselves authentic at all. I am not Mexican but I was married to one for 8 years and when I tell you they would be embarrassed for their heritage if they tried this food.
The pics look decent but 100% the worst Mexican food I have ever tried. I’ve never seen an authentic Mexican restaurant put shredded cheddar cheese on their rice, and the rice was so flavorless they might as well just called it white rice. The birria tacos tasted like they came from Taco Bell and the salsa was the most Americanized salsa I’ve ever tasted. Even the broth for the birria tacos tasted like a Taco Bell taco. Not worth the money at all. Oh and they charged me .75 cents for take out. Not sure if that’s a Wisconsin thing, but I have never had that...
Read moreI ordered 6 tacos for take out over the phone. The nice lady told me they were 2 dollars per taco. I ordered 6. When I got there, she told me that it’s 50 cent extra per taco on take out orders (what?). She never mentioned that over the phone, she also said they were 2.50 because of taco Tuesday, they are usually 3 dollars any other day. (I’ve never paid 3/taco in my life btw street taco) so take out is 3.50 a taco any other day. When I recieved the tacos the meat was skimpy the tortilla was filled with mostly onion. Literally NO MEAT. I took it back and got a refund. On a better note a customer referred me to a better place on the next exit where I was able to get real tacos for 2 dollars/taco. Please please take your money elsewhere. Nice people but they obviously are getting over on the...
Read moreWonderful, nice small local Mexican restaurant with a beautiful intimate patio with a fountain. Patio is never packed. If you live in one of the nearby housing developments on these nice summer days we were able to walk the walking paths and it was awesome! Brought our well behaved dog and they were so sweet. They brought her a whipped cream pup cup and water dish. Highly recommend when all of the patios along the riverfront are packed. Just stop into this place and I’d be betting they’ll have room. Food was great and margaritas were full strength!!! Always shady too so no worries having to score an umbrella. Street tacos were the bomb!!! Couldn’t believe the price including ginormous margaritas and daiquiris -was half the cost of any of the downtown restaraunts with just a...
