Nando's Tacos — Restaurant in Humble

Nando's is a must-try. Their main pitch is the quality of their meat and they deliver. Leo, one of the kind, friendly staff, cleverly offers samples of the fajita and barbaqua while newcomers like myself are mulling over the options. The meat is fresh and so tender and flavorful. I had a fajita taco with beans, lettuce, and tomatoes. The surprise for me (maybe because I didn't read, too hungry to read... lol) was the fajita taco came with egg. This was a pleasant surprise, although, I would have opted to leave the lettuce and tomatoes off and just have the egg, fajita, and beans. And my other taco was a machicado a la Mexicana, which i was informed by Leo, that they sought out the best machicado they could and i believe it was a very good choice. It was fresh and very tasty. I would like it to be a little more pungent, but it was a very good and fresh-tasting machicado.

Now that leaves only the soup to mention, and l tell you this, I for one can't wait until the winter comes because I will come here to order solely this soup. I was so into chewing the first bite of my machicado taco and saving all the flavors that I didn't catch what Leo's pitch and description of this soup were. I saw a small bowl, he placed it down, I heard something about meat, and saw sneering that at first looked like frijoles a la charra. My brain said, "wait, meat... " I grab my spoon and stirred it and saw meat instead of beans. This soup (i will update this review when I get the get the name) could be the one thing that propels this mom-and-pop style taco stand to a state or even national sensation. I admit I was looking for a decent breakfast and was blindsided by this whole experience, in a very good way. I am planning on visiting the next day or so to order my fajita taco properly (my mistake, not theirs) and have a pleasant visit with the friendly...

Wow! Holy smokes! LETS JUST TACO BOUT IT!!!!!! This is exactly the best hands down tacos ever! We both had the #10 Fajita Ranchero tacos, thier special soup, and coffee today! This was our 2nd time here and was impressed already by the first time so we had to come here once again! The soup is delicious and you can tell its made fresh! All the ingredients were like heaven together but in your mouth! Thier tortillas are made fresh and by hand. Ya'll we are Taco fanatics and Taco is Life- so we know from a rushed tacos and from someone really taking the time and love when making the tacos! Yes, theres a MAJOR difference between the two! The flavor is so different and clean! I don't feel guilty eating thier tacos! Its not even close to greasy! They are humongous tacos- i'll tell you that and they do stuff the tacos up to capacity! They stand out with the flavors!!!! Its BOMB TO THE DIGITTY, YA'LL! Establishment: They are so friendly and super clean! Restrooms are clean! It's a small establishment but they really pay attention to detail when it comes to thier food and what's important! Drove by this place a couple times and decided to try it today. Really, really wanted to like it but it was a huge miss.

The sales pitch is great, real Angus steak, ect ect... But.....

Ordered two plates:

Steak breakfast plate and barbacoa breakfast plate.

Steak was bad like literally food safety should have been thrown away bad. Also it was more of a brisket taste/texture than steak Eggs were ok but they give you like 4 eggs per plate. Potatoes were cooked like hash browns and not cooked enough. The saving grace was the beans, best tasting out of a lot of the restaurants in the area but not enough to redeem the plate.

The barbacoa was also bad, not sure if their meat fridge went out or if they aren't keeping their meat at temp but the smell and taste made it obvious you shouldn't even attempt to eat it.

Tortillas for being home made were on par with what you'd get from a store, no love in them.

Salsa, all three that they offered just had no flavor and didn't enhance anything.

If you sit outside you get the great smell of sewage wafting up anytime the wind blows.

Unfortunately despite the sales pitch this restaurant is a big NO for me and my family. Fingers crossed that I don't get food poisoning from...
