This was honestly one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant in my life.
I'll begin with the service I received in the drive-through. All seemed normal they took my order albeit reluctantly. I ordered a small original, with no tomatoes and extra onions. Of course, the sandwich came with tomatoes after I made it explicitly clear that I did not want any tomatoes. Not the end of the world though, I go to taste the half and half tea that I also ordered with the meal. It was sour, like days old soured tea. I also ordered a brocolli and cheese soup that had a rotten taste.
So this is when the real awful experience happened. With the tea being disgusting, and the sandwich being incorrect i walked back into the establishment expecting at the very least an apology for the absolutely atrocious tea, and the mistake on the sandwich.
I got none of that, just attitude for even being inside of the restaurant, the look and attitude of "what do you want me to do about it?" and the general feeling I wasn't welcome inside of this establishment.
When I told them about the spoiled tea that tasted like it had been left out to rot for days the response I got was "we know it's spoiled, several people have told us about it today."
This was when I nearly lost it. They admitted to knowing the tea was spoiled and STILL DECIDED TO CHARGE PEOPLE MONEY FOR IT.
Awful service, awful food, awful drinks. And whoever gave them the license to serve food out of this establishment should be ashamed. This place should honestly be condemned for knowingly serving tea that was more than several days old. And if they're willing to serve that garbage to customers, what else do you think they're serving that could potentially be rotten. How much care do you think they're taking with the hygiene of their kitchen if they can't even...
Read moreI’m truly disappointed with the quality of the sandwich I received during my most recent visit. Schlotzsky’s has always been a place I’ve trusted for fresh ingredients and well-made sandwiches, but this experience was far from what I’ve come to expect.
The lettuce on my sandwich was wilted and visibly old — something that should never have made it onto a customer’s order. The sandwich itself looked carelessly thrown together, with ingredients unevenly stacked and lacking any real presentation. On top of that, the bread was stiff and not fresh at all, which completely took away from the taste and texture that normally makes Schlotzsky’s sandwiches enjoyable.
What’s even more frustrating is that I live 35 miles away, so I didn’t realize just how bad the sandwich was until I got home, ready to sit down and enjoy my meal. At that point, I was left disappointed and frustrated, wishing I had unwrapped it in-store just to make sure it was made properly — which I shouldn’t have to do.
I’m upset and would appreciate a refund, but the inconvenience of driving all the way back makes it even more disappointing. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because this isn’t the quality I expect from...
Read moreI worked at a Schlotzsky’s for three years until I graduated high school, so I had a sandwich just about every day and never got tired of them. That was a whole lot of years ago, but I still love them and can’t pass up a Schlotzsky’s without stopping. I had never been to this one, which is conveniently located in the same building as a huge convenience store/gas station. I ordered a turkey avocado on sourdough bread exactly as it comes, and y’all!! …it was beyond delicious!! I also got a bag of Schlotzsky’s brand Barbecue chips with a great tasting Dr Pepper and that entire meal was fantastic. It was hard to pass up the Cinnabon cinnamon rolls behind the glass at the register, because they look beyond amazing, but I was completely full after my meal. I dined inside the restaurant, but they also have a drive-through if you prefer to grab and go. I will stop here for a sandwich every single time I go to the airport. I highly recommend giving them a try if your...
