7.13.2023 - updated review: I havent visited in awhile and got takeout a few weeks ago, and the food was amaaazing! It seems they've made quite the change since I last ate here including the prices. However good food is always worth the price. Came in for dinner today and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious and the place was packed but service was still quick. The flavor is so much better than it was when I visited 3 years ago and glad that I came back because the food and service was very good. 5/5 Stars this time! ..... 3 years ago: We arrived around lunchtime, noon. The host sat us down right away and people did pile in quickly. They served a rice porridge soup with bits of meat -green onion and cilantro while we waited for our food, which was pretty good. The food came out fairly fast after ordering. I ordered beef pad kee mow and shrimp pad thai, both Thai hot spice level. I added dry chili powder to kick up the spice. If you cant eat spicy, you dont have to. Im just a spice fanatic. As for the flavor, the pad kee mow was lacking. It had a good flavor but it was very faint. The basil flavor wasnt strong either which was disappointing but it was still a good dish considering im biased and a bit picky. The pad thai was very nutty. You can definitely taste the peanuts. It was a fairly large amount. The dishes were 9.50 each for me. I thought it was in good price range for the taste and amount. My friend got chicken emerald fried rice and chicken pad thai. The fried rice was very plain. I didnt care for the texture of the rice. She did love her pad thai though. Overall, the popular dish was the pad thai. If you dont eat peanuts though, you can opt for their other dishes. Side note. They dont have eggplant dishes which is new for me. Never seen a thai restaurant without eggplant dishes.

Glad I came back to try this place again after several years. It was a much better experience than in times past. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and had to wait a while because this place did not open until noon, which is actually a bit late to open for lunch, but it was worth the wait. I came with a taste for pad thai, but saw a picture of the thai fried chicken wings while I was waiting and decided to give them a try. I would never think to order fried chicken in a Thai restaurant because.....well, it's Thai food! But I'm really glad I did. They were really good! Piping hot from the grease, they were nice and crispy. What really sets these off is the flavor. It's clear they were well marinated because the meat had such a wonderful flavor. I didn't need sauce or anything to eat with these. I tossed the sweet chili sauce that came with them and proceeded to massacre the wings....well done Thai Emerald, well done! I also ordered the pad see ew with chicken. I appreciate that it had some true heat to the spice, which is very different than some other Asian restaurants in the area that wimp out on the spice levels. It had a good amount of vegetables and a nice flavor to the sauce. It was also served with a rice and chicken soup, and a spring roll for lunch. I ordered a sweetened ice tea that was done really well....not bitter and not too sweet. I'm sure I had way too many glasses of tea than I should have. I'll be returning again to try the pad thai, and I'm sure another order of wings. Customer service was really good and the ladies there go above and beyond to care for their patrons. The prices were pretty reasonable and I would definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area.

I am here to SHOUT about how incredible Thai Emerald is! I would never give them less than 5-stars (I wish I could give them more!) They are our go-to Thai restaurant that offers amazing (and curbside!!!) service. So happy & appreciative that with everything going on I am still able to get my favorite food with the same smiling faces we see weekly in the restaurant! We always start with an order of Thai Tulips (THEY. ARE. TO. DIE. FOR.) & an order of Mee Krob (Thai Lettuce Wraps). If I'm trying to "be good", I'll order a bowl of the Vegetable Tofu instead. The veggies are always fresh & the broth is delicious. Entrees: this is tough. They have a great variety of authentic Thai dishes that make it hard to choose only one! I am a HUGE (but picky!) Duck fan, and I have never received a Duck Entree from Thai Emerald that I didn't fall in love with-the Gaeng Ped is sweet & spicy, which I am all about! My husband is a "poultry-only" kind of guy, so he always orders the Thai Royal Chicken (and I always steal half because once I smell it I can't resist!). If I'm not in the "duck mood", I order the Red Curry (spicy in the best way!) or the Ginger Stir-Fry (which is an amazing Vegetarian option!!). Bottom line- you cannot go wrong with any choice. We can't wait to dine-in & enjoy a glass of wine with our meals by catching up with our favorite Thai Emerald employees- but so thankful that they are still open & here for us until then! Thank you Thai Emerald for ALWAYS being AMAZING!

One of the WORST customer services we have ever received. The staff is very disrespectful and arrogant. We will never come back here again.

This update is in response to "Response from the owner" First of all, your response against my previous review clearly shows how you were trying to cover up your DISCOURTEOUS AND DISRESPECTFUL behavior.

Regarding demanding 2 separate tables- We didn't attempt to skirt the policy by demanding 2 separate tables, next to one another. When your staff asked us if we would like to sit together, we said no because we're two separate families. Additionally, we didn't ask for any particular tables. Your staff asked us to sit at those 2 tables even after I asked why we can't sit at the middle tables, as there were many tables that were empty. We were not there as a party of 8 and that was your perception. We were okay to sit anywhere in the restaurant. When I respectfully asked your staff the reason for the 20% additional charge, your staff went to discuss with someone at the check desk and then you came to us instead of your staff. You were very disrespectful and arrogant in the first place and said "DON"T EVER COME TO MY RESTUARANT" with a loud voice.

Regarding the tips/gratuity- First of all, the tips is not obligatory(mandatory) for the customer. It is the customers who pay happily with their own interest. We have always payed tips to the server either by cash or by credit card. For just a few dollars, you were very rude, arrogant, and disrespectful and said "DON"T EVER COME TO MY RESTUARANT" even when our kids were crying. This clearly shows how disrespectful you were to your customer.

Regarding complaint about food and the server (staff)- In the past, we have never complained of issues with either the service or food or used this as an excuse to poorly compensate the servers. If that was the case, we wouldn't have kept coming to your restaurant nor would we have referred it to our friends and families. It clear shows that you are trying to cover up your rude, arrogant, discourteous and disrespectful behavior that you showed to your customer who has been coming to your restaurant for about 3 years and has referred it to many friends and families.

Regarding disturbance- you were the one who was shouting at us and talking to us with a rude and loud voice throughout the conversation. We were just trying to make you realize that you were being disrespectful to the customer. Just so you know, Businesses treat their customers like GOD, but you care more about a couple of dollars than your customer.

One thing you should know, the restaurants are run by the customers. If the customers don't come to a restaurant, they can find another one, but if most or all customers stop coming to a restaurant, that restaurant will be bound to closed down.

Finally, I would appreciate if you could bring the full CCTV footage (without edit) to the public so everyone can see your RUDE, ARROGANT, DISCOURTEOUS, AND DISRESPECTFUL behavior to your customers.

All the best to you and your...
