When I saw this place was being opened I was so excited I counted the days and I can say this place has lived up to the excitement and expectations and exceeded them. I’ve been here maybe a total of 4 times now and have gotten the honor of eating here during both lunch and dinner and have gotten takeout. I can say the atmosphere has been great. It never fails that each time I am here I hear at least one person sit and say “wow” while looking at the menu or looking around. The wait staff never fails to provide an excellent service and they have such a wide variety of people here it warms the heart and I would say makes me feel normal. The girl at the front door with the dreads is one of my favorite faces to see because she’s always super nice and has a smile. The soup dumplings are probably my favorite thing about this restaurant. While they are not available for delivery I call and get them for take out they are worth the trip. So far the beef lo mein, and the fried rice, and the beef noodle soup so far are all my favorites. The spicy beef slices I can’t remember the name or the number on the menu but the portions and the flavor behind it are just awesome. Fried rices are packed full of proteins and vegetable it’s not lacking. I myself am very excited to try out the hotpot when that finally becomes available and I am waiting patiently. You’ll notice during your stay a tv in the wall that goes through the whole process and history of the boa and how it’s made. Not only are you experiencing the Great food and customer service but also getting alittle educational value they even have the way to eat soup dumplings drawn on the wall. The murals on the wall behind the bar are beautiful and each one is different. The music choice is definitely modern and I love that. Portions here are definitely meant to share everything is such a treat. 10/10 recommend can’t tell you how beautiful this place is in words. My favorite spot in huntersville.
Revisiting after some has passed for Sunday evening food around 4pm and the menus changed abit. It seems to still have a lot of variety, there’s boba tea and my favorite dumplings, the portions are definitely sharing sizes or expect to take home left overs. The music and vibe of the restaurant is nice, pretty modern. I really enjoy the quality of service I recieve every time I come in, and the take out is still just as good...
Read moreI was really excited to see this restaurant coming to Huntersville. A upscale authentic Chinese restaurant with pork dumplings. Last week we were heading to another restaurant saw this place was open and a line out the door. Only to learn it was an invite only “soft opening.” Disappointing but completely understood. They will get the kinks out and open soon. Ok a week plus went by and we stopped in tonight. 30 minutes wait no problem. We are excited. 45 minutes plus go by. Again no biggie the food is so going to be worth it. We finally get our table and the waiting continues. Two parties sat after us ordered and had drinks on their table before we even see a waiter heading our way. No adult drinks available we are still waiting for something….still no biggie we are ok with water or cans of coke and here is our food order. The first three types of dumplings NOPE we are out of those. You can have these or these… ok we will have those and pork belly and fried rice and three or four other items from the menu… how about pork pot sticker NOPE we are out of all of those. Eventually we we able to order 5 items plus the two “available dumplings”. Now the waiting begins…. The other two parties got food to their tables…BUT it was not what they ordered. Our water arrived…the manager is running around with VIP clients to a hidden back room constantly he is running in with food and drinks for the VIPs…out he comes to apologize to the other tables about the wrong items to their table….here come a plate of fried rice to our table. Water and rice…getting pretty disappointed… Guy sitting at a table beside us talks to us …his family already left…he is still waiting for items he ordered that did not come with his order….lots of to go orders going out the front door….WHERE the heck is our food??? A bowl of pork belly comes out we all share as we have now been waiting over an hour for our order….waiter comes over and asks if we want anything else. NOW I am frustrated….I said yes the food we ordered an hour ago. He runs over to the manager who comes over and says he has some bad news….our dumplings order and other items never made it to the kitchen it will take another 20-30-35 minutes…..yeah I am good. Just give me my check we are done….he leaves and sends waiter over with our bill for the two items that made it to the table.
So very...
Read moreUpdate 1/12 - changing from a 2-star to 1-star. After the restaurant replied to my review asking me to email them so they could make it right, I did. And two weeks later, still no response. Very very poor customer service, this place won't last long.
I wanted to love this place but we left very disappointed. This was our third time trying to eat here, the previous two times had 1.5+ hour wait times even though there were open tables. Tonight there were 3 open tables but we could only sit at the bar, which was fine, just odd that there were open tables with no one waiting. Our server was very polite and greeted us by telling us what was out of stock, including the bao dumplings, which is the whole reason we wanted to eat here. So when I told her that this was our third time trying to eat here she explained that they actually DID have the dumplings but the owners made the decision to not serve them tonight, instead keeping more for tomorrow. SUPER disappointing and very frustrating. We ordered potstickers and veggie spring rolls, both of which weren't great. Meatball soup, the pork meatball arrived pink and the soup was greasy. For our meal we had kung pao chicken, veggie lomein, and veggie fried rice. All just mediocre. Our server was fantastic but that is the only good thing about this place. Reading the reviews tonight, it seems that they are regularly out of menu items and service is slow (open tables with a long wait). I understand supply chain and employment challenges but this is ridiculous. This place is not ready to be open for customers, seems as though management needs some training in how to operate...
