Update: we visited on March 29 and Kylah greeted us & was most delightful. Even though we had multiple questions and my husbandās request for certain sauces, she took care of it all with a smile on her face and such a nice personality. Thanks again for your hospitality.
We often visit Whole Foods and Iāve talked about trying Viva Chicken with my husband. Yesterday afternoon we were deciding on a restaurant in Birkdale when I suggested Viva. So glad we did this!
The chicken is a Peruvian rotisserie & the spices are a family recipe. They only source hormone-free chicken & marinate for 24 hours in their authentic Peruvian spice & roast in the oven over charcoal.
Idonna recommended the Cilantro rice, the green beans & two salads & we also tried all 3 sauces. The signature sauces are house-made daily and they even sell it by the bottle: flavors are mild yellow, medium green and hot red. Everything was really delicious! Packed with flavor!
Be sure to browse their drinks & sweets. For dessert: we tried the mini churros stuffed with caramel & tres leches cake. Both very good!
We also tasted all 3 homemade juices. All super refreshing! I photographed my favorite!
Skip the wait at Birkdale & experience for yourself the tastes of Peru.
Viva Chicken also offer catering as well. You will surely impress your guests with these unique flavors.
I am especially grateful to the hospitality of Ramon and Idonna. They made our first experience fantastic!
Bonus: The portions are pretty generous, so you will probably have leftovers.
We will be back to enjoy more off the menu.
Enjoy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start by saying I love the food here⦠when itās made correctly that is. I donāt know what happened to this location specifically but itās gone downhill tremendously over the past few years. The food is always inconsistent with how itās prepared and somehow the order is always made incorrectly. I get the same order every time I come here but they continue to give me the wrong item, or itās missing something, or itās just flat out awful. I always get the Inca wrap because itās my favorite item on the menu and that item is suppose to already come with avocado, yet every time, there is no avocado in it. Today was my last straw with this location. I placed my usual order to go and when I open it there is no avocado in the wrap, the wrap itself is extremely soggy to the point where the paper is wet (I always ask for no beans, so there should be no reason why the wrap is soggy) and to top it off they gave me the Amarillo sauce when I asked for mayo (two completely different sauces). Iāve tried again and again to give them the benefit of the doubt because I understand mistakes happen, but after this encounter I will not be returning to this location. The staff should be retrained on how to prepare food as well as how to recheck the order before itās given to customers, this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell everyone can claim they have the best Peruvian chicken but that's hard to achieve without having original ingredients. The restaurant has a good looking and the menu is good. I was a little surprised when I ordered the Quinoa stuff avocado and they asked me if I want chicken I was š¤š¤, I said ok, the presentation was great and the avocado was perfect, however, the chicken that was on top was in chunks obviously are left overs from the chicken is not sold, if they could tear apart the chicken a little bit more it would be great and not putting so much chicken, you want the taste of the Quinoa with the avocado not the chicken. We also ate the chicken which has good taste but for the American paladar, those who we are from Peru is hard to achieve the real taste. Something that really got my attention was the Herbal Limeade, the taste was perfect the blend of the Yerba buena with the lime, rosemary and mint has a very good taste and smooth flavor. I have to give credit to the French fries they are crispy and cook to perfection. However, the chicken for those who know about the taste is on the breast if the breast is tender and juicy then is a good chicken. The first time I ate in Viva Chicken was in Utah and was not good at all, you guys have improved. Keep...
