I will be clear that I think j this should be three stars and if I could rate service and the staff themselves, it would be higher, j simply feel the rating should be lower for I hope in general-purpose I went to two different I hope because then orjce was so outragous at the first one (literally the only thing on the menu S an actual food options including appetizers below 15 bucks was the plain pancakes. The prices from the first ihop turned out to be on average about 2.5x the prices at the 2nd IHOP. now the reason im giving ihop only two stars is because if the price to food value ratio is now totally out of wack. I ate there with a friend and got 2 courses onE of which was a cheap sandwich (cheaper in over price compared to the restaurant other menu items and it was just their ihop blt) and a order of pancakes with just two drinks and the bill was nust under $50. Don't get me wrong the food is good and deserves a higher star rating. This is a consistently good chain and they do deserve a higher rating for their food but OT at this price. I mean it was good and all but its still just IHOP! I went to maggianos recently And got their take-home deal with a friend and with a total of for meals plus drink and it was less than $37! that is a very good deal. I'm sad to say I have robably won't be eating at ihop again until their prices return to something at least close to what...
Read moreI always like ihop to go with my son. We went new year's day as tradition like we always do. And right now they're doing the Willy wonka menu. So my son was very much looking forward to getting the dream. Lemonade with the cotton candy in the sprinkles on it. Well, when we sat down, our server told us that they were out of it. And my son was devastated. But we stayed and we ate. Ihop is not cheap. It cost me sixty dollars for the two of us to eat. So he brings me the bill. And I pay it and I tipping good cause it's a holiday and waiters and waitresses work really hard so they deserve it. But then I look Over at another table. And the server is setting down a dream lemonade!? What the heck?! So I asked that server. My server just told me that you guys were out of it and you're clearly not.. The waitress stated that they were not out of it. They were just out of the sprinkles. Well I think my son would have been quite content without the sprinkles on it. Put my server apparently didn't want to deal with it. He's lucky I tipped him before I found this out. So luckily the kind waitress which I forgot to get her name. I feel bad went And got my son A dream lemonade minus the sprinkles and it made his day. It's a shame some waiters and waitresses are just too lazy apparently. Thank God for that w Waitress, because she's saved our breakfast and put a smile on...
Read moreMy experience at this IHOP was pretty terrible. I have been an avid fan of this restaurant for a long time, but this location usually falls below expectations. When we arrived, drinks were ordered. I love regular sweet tea, but many locations only offer unsweet, or a fruity version of sweet tea(raspberry etc) I asked the waitress if they had regular sweet tea, and she said yes. I double checked to ensure that it wouldn't be a fruity version of sweet tea, and she still maintained that it would be normal sweet tea. However, when she brought the drinks out, it was in fact, raspberry flavored tea. A minor inconvenience, yet annoying after double checking with her. The food came, and we still hadn't received silverware. And thus may be a pet peeve of mine, but I hate when places serve pancakes on tiny plates. Thus, when you try to out syrup on your pancakes, it's spilling over the edges onto the table, and this is what happened at this location. The service was just awful, which is unusual for IHOP. Luckily, there are many locations in Orange County to choose from, so just steer clear...
