First time at Riip Brewery & Pizza. Kind of organized chaos. Food was pretty good (when we finally got it) albeit a bit on the salty side for my taste. We had a party of 8, and half of our pizza orders were forgotten. Interesting that all of our beer/drink orders were perfect, but food ordering seemed a bit dysfunctional. They cram so many people into such a small space, I recall thinking “there’s no way they can keep all of this straight”…..and they couldn’t. The place is in need of a competent GM who knows where to draw the line on how many people can be realistically serviced. I also heard complaints from neighboring businesses that said you can’t call in To-Go orders for lunch. That seems like a lost opportunity. Read moreWe really enjoy this place. It’s at the corner of Warner and PCH. Parking is convenient and free. The brews are fine and they offer a great selection. The Krimson Killa is my favorite. Strong With a bite.
They are dog friendly as most tap rooms still are. Mia loves coming here, especially when it’s hot outside. We love ordering food from the local restaurants. You can order via phone and walk to pick up. Some may deliver. They have park benches inside. If you have a sharpie you can graffiti on them. This is where we sit when the outside weather is bad. On nice days or evenings, sitting in the patio is an option.
The brew tanks are next door. According to legend, they had to use helicopters to lower the tanks into the room! They are huge! The brewers are happy to share brewing tips, when they aren’t busy creating...
