Chick filet is supposed to be known for their hospitality and good service but I just had the worst experience from a manager!! I ordered the pimento chicken sandwich meal like I do every day except I usually use the Cullman store (which I have NEVER had any bad experiences at). I leave and get 15 minutes down the interstate and realize I was given the wrong thing, which is fine.. people mess up. So I turn around and drive all the way back and the grey haired manager for day shift acts like she isn’t going to give me my sandwich. I gave her the wrong receipt on accident from another bag in my passenger seat so she makes me get out of the long line and leave after I told her the receipt should be right here because I just left from this store and rudley tells me there’s nothing she can do and that I needed to stop holding up the line. I get out of line and find the receipt like just a second later and go to the front of the store and see someone else and offer to pay the difference but that I had already turned around and went 15 minutes out of the way to come back and just needed the mistake fixed and get my sandwich and the lady rudely steps in front of the lady I’m speaking to and says “I’ll handle this!” And tells me that the receipt clearly says regular chicken sandwich and there is nothing she can do that I needed to leave. So at this time I am clearly getting frustrated and tell the woman I have driven out of the way to come back, offer to pay the difference, but I am not leaving without the sandwich I came for and she finally fixes the mistake. While I’m waiting two employees come up to me and apologize for her behavior which did make me feel better! But I wouldn’t have got this kind of craziness at McDonald’s.. so how is there management in position that are so rude and set on not admitting that they are wrong at Chick filet of...
Read moreI have been here 25+ times since they opened. I'm so tired. This location is insanely busy anywhere close to lunch time. I pulled in the parking lot at 10:50 and pulled out at 11:30. So much for lunch break. And the fries only really have a 5 minute shelf life, so those were way dead before I got back home. It's worse every time I go. People there have NO clue how to drive in a circle around the building. They NEED someone directing traffic, it is insane, and near gridlock if someone makes the wrong move.
The front person in the drive thru will have some complex order that is going slow and they will deliver the orders to the other cars behind them early. 5 cars back and more. I've gotten my order so far back in line I wasn't even to the menu boards yet. Because of the double wrap around drive thru, there was no way out. I had to wait in line anyway for whoever ordered 20 things at the front of the line. Cue backing up the entire parking lot.
Parking and going to the walk up window doesn't help either. The food is about the same slowness from order to receiving it, but now you have to back up INTO the drive thru line. No one wants to let you in either, which makes no sense since I have my food already and just want to LEAVE. Cue 10+ more minutes waiting to leave the parking lot.
If you go, park on the street. Use the walk up window. Don't go at any rush time, or within 3 hours of a rush time. You'll just be wasting your time pretending to be in a Washington DC traffic jam.
To Chick Fil A: your food is great. Everything about your logistics is absolutely atrocious and it's getting near unbearable....
Read moreThis is genuinely the worst chick-fil-a I have ever been to, and possibly the worst location in the state of Alabama. Save yourself 40 minutes and a headache by simply going to the Whitesburg Drive location-they are much faster, more reliable, won’t forget your items, and most importantly will treat you respectfully. The excuses of being short-staffed at the Governor’s Drive location are getting old. Management needs to change-I believe the manager’s name is Karen, however, the staff may have just been referring to ME as Karen, so I will never know. I will not be returning to this location due to countless issues involving 40+ minute waits in line, forgotten items, incorrect orders, and brash, uncaring attitudes of the staff. Highly do not recommend this location for anyone, but especially for mobile app folks. What they lack in tactfulness and accuracy, they try to make up for with a free cookie or sweet tea every now and then. This location is in dire need of new management and better-trained staff. Especially being that it is one of the best food options near the hospital, but their results make them one of the worst options. They assured me I would not be charged for the mobile order I was forced to leave due to time, yet I have been charged for the order anyway. No surprise here, as it is the rotten cherry on top of my experiences here. I feel very bad for the workers at this location, as I’m sure many of their customers treat them poorly due to the bad service and bad management. Go to the Whitesburg location and you won’t have to deal with any of the...
