Big Bowl has deserved an updated 5 star review from me for some time. It's my favorite Thai food in the Huntsville/Madison area. The restaurant is clean, the employees are friendly, and the food is consistently delicious. Our favorites include the pad see ew, panang curry, and fried banana egg rolls. Their Thai tea is also my favorite in town. We most recently got carry out to safely celebrate our anniversary. You can now order online through Google. It was easy to place our order, and it was ready right on time. We noticed when we walked in to pick up our food that the restaurant is following all Covid safety guidelines; the people eating in were distanced at their tables, hand sanitizer was present everywhere, and all employees were masked. The woman who gave us our food was very friendly, polite, and eager to ensure everything was okay with our order. I was really impressed with how well everything was boxed up; our curry and noodle dishes were boxed in neat bowls and we could eat them straight out of the package. The dishes retained their warmth, flavor, and texture over the ~20 minute drive home. Even the fried banana egg rolls were still crispy and warm when we got to eating them! Big Bowl was a favorite restaurant of ours pre-pandemic. It's abundantly clear that they've upheld their quality food, service, and atmosphere, even in difficult and unusual times. I highly recommend supporting them.

This is an unassuming Thai restaurant next to nothing but noodles in Huntsville. Every time we go there the food is outstanding. The sauces on the dishes have a depth of flavor that are unlike any Asian restaurant I've visited before. Our server was exceptional- they didn't have what I originally ordered and she came back and let me know in a timely manner and I chose a different entree I chose the garlic chicken my husband chose something else but I don't remember the name it was a spicy dish. Both entrees came with a side salad with and a Ginger Asian dressing which is delicious and very flavorful and a fried banana, which kind of tastes like a warm banana pudding and is oddly delicious. We also ordered two appetizers. The appetizers were pork fried egg rolls and fried rangoons. They were the highlight of the meal the fried rangoons are the best rangoons I have ever tasted and are one of my favorite things when I visit this restaurant. we'd never had the fried egg rolls but they were just as exceptional. perfect perfect experience. It's not a fancy place but it's quiet and cozy and the service is impeccable as well as the food. So if you're looking for an exceptional Asian restaurant that is not a Chinese buffet, try this place out it is a bit pricey but not any pricier than anything else and for the quality of food that you get it's unbeatable.

We usually order take out from here and get a noodle dish. We absolutely love their drunken noodles so tasty! Their spice level is not always consistent on the drunken noodles. My husband loves spice and he always orders Thai Hot, but I feel like every other time he doesn't think it's hot. Today he didn't say Thai Hot and I think that maybe why today his wasn't spicy. Today I felt like trying something different. I ordered the Thai BBQ chicken lunch plate. I am not well versed in Thai food so I don't know if this is typical for Thai BBQ chicken, but it almost seemed like they braised the chicken in regular BBQ sauce. It wasn't bad, but definitely not what I expected. The skin was soggy and the meat was almost overcooked. I was craving some char on my chicken with a little crisp skin marinaded with a lime marinade. I was really disappointed in this one. My dish did come with fried rice. It was very plain with some pineapples chunks on top, but oh so good and well seasoned! I feel like it must have had msg in it. I loved it! The lunch menu comes with a small coconut soup and spring rolls. The soup is delicious and nice and tart. The spring rolls are a veggie spring roll so they are not my favorite, but a good veggie spring roll.

Another two time visit well attempted second visit. This is the only reason why I gave them 4 stars versus 5. My first visit there was for a late lunch, my meal was superb! So, superb I asked for the menu to order dinner to go home for later that evening. I dont think you can choose wrong on this menu. I ordered the mild curry chicken for lunch and took home ginger chicken for dinner. Well on my 2 attempt and very disappointing attempt I went to the nail salon right next door to get my timely pedicure. I figured after my pedicure I'd pick up an early dinner to take out to go home and eat. People were inside consuming their meals and the door was open, so I walked in and began to ask for a menu to order food to go. I was sadly informed they close every day Mon-Fri at 3pm-4pm of course I quickly looked at my watch and saw it was 315pm. I said well can I place an order to go not to dine in and she kindly told me no. I walked back out to see if maybe I missed the sign on the door in eager to please my palate. But NOPE no sign! Nothing by the posted hours, no temporary window sign, no sidewalk sign NOTHING! I was even more upset because this is all I wanted and I was only 10 minutes away from hotel hut there was no way I was waiting another 45 minutes to order after being pampered. I walked in and stated I'm not from the area and I'm not sure how many regular customers you have that just know you're closed for an hour daily but it would be nice if you placed a sign on the door for notice to the public. Of course she just smiled and said thank you. I was chasing that specific Thai flavor and just couldn't have it and it was just very...
