The reason I am writing this review is twofold. First, I want to complain about careless cashier I had a "pleasure" to encounter tonight. Although every Ross store carry rather large merchandise, when I asked for the larger bags since the cashier straggled to pack a very small pillow in one bag, she just nodded her head. She even bothered to look at me or perhaps to apologize for any inconvenience because I had to menage to carry a number of large items to my car. The carts, as you maybe do not know, in Ross stores have a metal polls so costumers can't take them outside. Therefore, be prepared to carry your order either in very small and cheap bags or most likely just unpacked! However, the second reason is actually the main reason I decided to rant. While I was waiting for the cashier to check me out a young, noticeably disabled man, approached and politely asked the cashier if she can give him a plastic bag so he can put his ID badge and a bunch of keys while he is shopping. The cashier answered that they do not have bags while in fact she was holding one in that very moment. I was astonished with her answer so I politely reminded her that she has it her hands . At that moment the store manager Pauline, who was checking other costumer, replied that THEY do not give bags for free!!! The young man appeared to be very confused so he just stood there with a surprised look on his face so I took my items from the bag and give it to him. I do understand that no store is in situation to give away free bags but there should be exceptions in my opinion if the potential buyer walks to the store, especially if the costumer is disabled. So, store manager Pauline, you did not save a penny for your employee tonight but you manage to lose a costumer and discriminate a disabled person. It cost nothing to be nice to another human being. The lady who you checked out bought a large plastic bag so you saved at least three bags that she did not take. You could give it to...
Read moreThe selection of clothing isn't very good, it's downright small; limited styles available and only one or two different sizes are available per style or item. It's difficult to find something you like and even more difficult if you do, as most likely they won't have it in your size or preferred color. The prices are on the steep side too for what you get on a lot of things. Though my main complaint is about the dressing room. I won't shop here anymore because the staff who work the dressing room make me feel highly uncomfortable. They glare at me and the other customers who want to use the dressing room, like we are somehow inconvienencing them. If you aren't sure of your size and need to try on half a dozen different items, that really gets you a nasty stare. I also don't appreciate how they treat you like a thief here when you want to try on clothes. They actively discourage you from wanting to try clothes on as if everyone who wants to try clothes on intends to steal something. I'd say it's profiling, but I get the impression they treat all customers just as poorly. What's the point of a clothing store if you make the customer feel so uncomfortable they can't try on clothes? Even if you know your size, it is IMPOSSIBLE to buy without trying them on, as all brands fit differently. One brand may be too small and another too big. You can't guess on that, and I would absolutely hate trying to return clothes here just based off how poor my experience was with the rest of the staff. There's other clothing stores in this town, thank goodness, and I'll read the reviews next time before I...
Read moreZero stars actually. Store did not close until 11 pm. I was there at 10 pm to try on shorts for work. URTHA is the most rude sales person I have ever encountered. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. She yelled at me for trying on clothes in a fitting room that I didn’t know was closed because there was no sign to indicate it. An announcement was made over the PA after I was already in there and undressed so I promptly got redressed and exited the fitting room. Then she was rude about the six items that I did not want to buy and I asked her where to hang them and she said “wow, that’s a lot” and rolled her eyes. She should find a new profession because her attitude is unnecessary and unpleasant. I spoke with the manager Hannah about it and I was told that she would handle the situation but I don’t feel confident that she will. So I felt like I should let y’all know not to choose that location until they can hire better employees who want to interact with...
