1)Your response is WEAK!!! The ticket even showed I REQUESTED MEDIUM RARE! If you want to stay with your feeble response, then why was my preference ignored and not addressed prior to giving me your overpriced, overcooked, tasteless crap? I could have ordered something else, or better, go where they actually know how to cook an expensive hamburger medium rare. It’s been done in Texas and other states. 2)It’s also TACKY that you round the bill up to the next dollar for cash payments, or is that a Texas thing also? 3)Also TACKY that you had a pushy Toyota salesman in there bugging me and everyone that walked in trying to sell a car, get you to buy parts there or service your vehicle and send him referrals. I don’t go to restaurants for a sales pitch. When he wasn’t approaching customers, he treated the dining area like his office, even making calls. ORIGINALLY REVIEW: IF YOU LIKE OVERCOOKED BURGERS , have at it. This is my second time ordering their SAM’S SECRET BURGER, both times I emphasized when I ordered it that I wanted it medium rare, even mentioned that it was overdone previously so I want him to make sure the kitchen understands it is to be cooked medium rare. A lot of good that did, it was still over cooked. The server apologized and said he would check with the manager and the chef. He told me they both told him because it’s ground beef it cannot be cooked medium rare. I never heard that line of crap before. This was for lunch on a Friday, not very busy, but as soon as I sat down I was approached by a Toyota salesman who has a set up in the dining area trying to get me to buy a car, car parts or service from him and didn’t take no for an answer. Even after telling him I just bought a 2025 car, he wanted to know if I knew anyone looking, he wouldn’t even take his business card back. Pretty tacky for what should be a nicer restaurant. His business card is now mixed in with the sugar packets on the table.

We were so disappointed after reading so many good reviews. We had an early dinner (going to Old Town for a show)-it took several minutes before anyone approached to seat us. The only saving grace was our steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection, our iced tea arrived with max 2 ice cubes, when our order finally arrived, the salad was served with our entree-I had blue cheese dressing that was disgusting, the mashed potatoes were lumpy and seemed to be yesterdays. Our waiter only checked on us once right after our food came, so I hadn’t even tasted my salad dressing. Also, when our food finally arrived, my wife asked for pepper sauce for both of us-we had forgotten to request when we ordered (but the waiter never asked either), when the sauce finally arrived, it was garlic butter sauce-by then we gave up and just ate it. My side of the table was sticky and we both noticed that both of our tea glasses were filmy (gross). We did not ask for a manager because it took so long to get our check, we didn’t want to wait anymore-in spite of the poor service, we still left our server 15%. Sorry to say, it was our first and last visit.

We were in town for some business and remember hearing people talk so well about Sam’s Table. We popped in for a quick lunch and we are glad we did. Our waiter Bryce (hopefully spelled correctly, if not I’m sorry) was very welcoming and helpful. We told him it was our 1st time there and he told us we could sit wherever we wanted. The dinning room and the bar are on different sides of the building, connected through an open area near the restaurant entrance. We ordered chicken tacos and Sam’s burger. The three tacos were large and full of chicken. The sautéed onion and bell peppers were delicious. The verde salsa was good with a strong bite of jalapeño. The burger was large and delicious. The fries were crispy and not overcooked. The burger comes without condiments so if you want some let them know. Bryce told me when he dropped off the burger. There are many different items on the Costa Rican based menu to try and we will return soon. They have a patio and a secret you need to ask about. Happy eating!

I used to come here a lot, for the good prices and good food. However, the last time I came here was last semester, which implies they have reduced their portions dramatically despite raising the price. I ordered two fries, two burgers today. All of a sudden, the burgers were sliced in half, which was just an incompetent attempt to hide the fact that the burger's size was reduced by 25-33.3%. The portion of fries I received was atleast half, if not less than the portion I used to receive for each burger. The portion of sauce cups, which is an independent charge may I remind you, also was halved despite an increased price. Considering inflation, these new portions for prices is absolutely inexcusable in stark contrast to what this place was less than half a year ago last semester. Do not come here, the prices for food used to be great, yet have become ridiculously expensive in less than a semester. When I said I wasn't paying more for about 40% less food after seeing the portions decline that dramatically in one summer, the waiter become extremely offended, instead of apologizes, which is an international foodservice standard no matter what, I received nothing but insults. I walked away immediately, not paying, but not touching my food. In one summer, this place has gone from comparatively generous portions of excellent quality food and comparatively generous prices, to terrible portions for increased prices. Why would I ever come back here? I consider it a tragedy really, I mourn the fact I cannot come back here and not get completely scammed, because this place used to be so great. I remember the days of getting about 9 ounces of beef with vegetables in a delicious burger, with a generous serving of fries, sauce cups completely filled. Now, it's maybe 6 ounces maximum although maybe 4-5, serving of fries halved, amount of sauce in every cup halved, for about two dollars more. Inflation hasn't been that bad, completely inexcusable, wouldn't be surprised if this was the fault of some new management, especially seeing so many new faces on the wait staff. I never expected a terrible offensive waiter from this place until...

I’m surprised by the overly positive reviews. When I go to a restaurant, I check the reviews before so I know what I’m getting into. So having reviews that are extremely positive really points me in the direction to go. I got here around 3 PM yesterday. It didn’t seem like they were ready to take the customers. Although the waiter got a good tip, he Didn’t seem quite engaged in when he was doing. But let’s get the food because that’s the important part! First, I ordered the appetizer. I can’t remember the full name, but It was a fancy name Starting with Pattata. What it was supposed to be was potatoes with truffle oil, with mozzarella cheese, bacon bits, sour cream and drizzled and in spicy aïoli sauce. What came out was cubed potatoes with partially melted cheddar cheese, bacon, bits, and Aïoli sauce. It was a $14 appetizer that was worth about $3-5. There was absolutely nothing significant enough about this dish to have it called something special and some other language and have a description that sounded like there was a lot of thought put into it. I did ask the waiter if I ordered the wrong thing because it had cheddar cheese on it and no sour cream. They remade it, but it still just didn’t seem great. Then came the burger. The fries were the best thing about the meal here. I do like a good fry. I asked for the burger to be cooked medium, I was not surprised when it came well done. The bun was amazing, really great choice, but overshadowed by the taste of the burger, which just did not have a great flavor. Overall, the food was disappointing. I would have much rather had an American menu so the would be set being pretty...
