Viet Crispwich — Restaurant in Huntsville

I was excited to come here today and finally try the food. I arrived at 3:58pm. I saw on the door that they reopen at 4pm but when I tried the door it was already open so I figured that would at least give me a couple minutes to review the menu and be able to order at 4. Instead, the rude cashier at the front quickly told me I couldn’t order because they were still closed- no invitation to look at the menu or attempt to even talk to me at all. This interaction put a bad taste in my mouth and instantly made me not even want to stick around the two minutes to order. I think this place should do a better job of making customers feel welcomed and if they don’t want people coming in during the time they’re closed, don’t leave the doors open. 🚨Warning🚨 Top tier Big Sandwich experience 🗣️🥪

The staff had the winningest smiles in all of Huntsville (true) and helped me pick out the perfect banh mi and silly little beverage because I was experiencing heavy menu FOMO and needed to be saved.

I took my food to go because I stumbled into the store 20 minutes before close but the ambiance was nice - good lighting and cozy without feeling too formal or uptight. I could definitely see myself setting up for the long haul - coffee shop style - if I wanted to get some work done and needed to get out of the house.

The Grilled Pork Banh Mi was incredibly delicious. I got it to-go, but I think it would be even better if I had dined in. For the price, it’s an insanely good deal. The bread was delicious, I believe it’s baked fresh. The pork was great, and I don’t even eat pork sandwiches normally!

I also got the Vietnamese Sweetened Coffee, and it’s was pretty good. I’m a snob and I prefer my own coffee at home, but I’d prefer it over most other places I’ve gotten coffee in Huntsville. It was as good as you can expect without brewing yourself.
