Cholies Pizza Hyde Park — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

Small place U can only do take out no sit down service is available. The lady who waited on me today was nice and the place is an older looking establishment. I ordered two slices of sausage pizza, one of few pizza places in Hyde Park that have slices available for U2 just purchase. This is the thing with some pizza places, if U are into a more doughy pizza then this is the place for U, but U can also order pizza specifically made to your liking. The two slices I had were extremely doughy and had very little sauce on them. I was okay with this and with me known for putting tons of crush red pepper, black pepper and Parmesan cheese, I never noticed the pizza not having much seasoning or being bland. I would go back and order the pizza slice with fries because they have skinny fires available and skinny hot fries with barbecue/mild sauce is the bomb!!! One slice of pizza which is a huge slice...

This place caught our attention due to the name of the place. We wanted to check out a new spot, whole in the wall type place, we've never heard of and check out the pizza. We got the Stuffed Cholies Special, it sounded good and when we got our pizza it smelled/looked excellent. Downside the dough was a bit undercooked and the sausage as well. Perhaps leaving the pizza in another 5-10 mins could've been what it needed. Other than that the pizza was pretty good and the pop options were alright. Atmosphere at first seemed chill and quiet. All of a sudden there was an argument between an employee and I'm guessing one of the managers. It completely killed the mood and we just wanted to bounce since it got so uncomfortable. This place could use a second chance and maybe it was just a bad day so I'd maybe give it another chance but...

Having lived in Hyde park for last several years, I had always wanted to try this place but never got around to doing so. Now that I am gearing to move out of Hyde park, I finally decided to give this place a try.

We had a small vegetable and chicken pizza and six spicy buffalo wings. The food was fresh, the portions were good and the price was very reasonable. And most of all, the spices on the wings were on point. All in all, it came out to be $26 and we (two people) were stuffed by the end.

I regret not going here often given that they have tacos, burritos and gyros as well. Discovered this after going in and actually looking at their menu.
