On a recent visit to Chicago to see my daughter who lives in Hyde Park, she and I decided to go to a bar to watch the Celtics. We chose the Falcon Inn. From the time we entered until we left at halftime, the bartender (a woman with very short bleached hair) studiously ignored me twice (by pretending to be on her phone, never looking up) when I approached the bar, claimed she had NO sodas on tap, claimed she had no juices of any kind available, and gave me my drink in the tiniest glass possible short of a shot glass. It's more healing happening on that sidewalk than any office in this city. Don't fk that up...there's magic there!! Read moreThe location is safe and the parking was convenient during my Monday night visit. We stopped by for a post dinner cocktail. There were tables available upon entry, a light crowd and the NBA game on screen. Here is my reason for the two stars: they are a cash only establishment. We had NO IDEA until AFTER our drinks were prepared and the bartender directed me to the $3 fee ATM, so we were one and done after one cocktail.
