Sal original Pizza — Restaurant in Independence

This is far and away the best pizza money can buy anywhere in the Kansas City metro area. Whether it's the Overland Park location, the Blue Springs location, or the one in the Independence Mall, the pizza is simply in a league of its own. The biggest issue with Original Pizza is that once you acquire a taste for it, you'll never want to eat Domino's, Pizza Hut, or Papa John's again. They don't even taste like they belong in the same category of food. Their pizzas are huge, and I personally order the 24" pizza often, take it home, and eat the leftovers for days. The largest pizza from Original Pizza is roughly the same price as a large from any other pizza establishment, but you get about twice the amount of food, and it actually tastes incredible. The largest box will not fit in anyone's fridge by the way. If you bring this pizza home and expect leftovers, you're going to need to preemptively figure out how you're getting it in the fridge. After going to the 119th and Antioch Original Pizza a year ago, not realizing it was not the same pizza I knew from my usual place. It was not at ALL as good, I actually didn't like it at ALL! After learning there were more locations with different names, I asked the question on here 4 months ago if this was the same pizza as the one I used to go to A LOT at 135th in Overland Park. We had some shopping to do and time to kill. We decided to stop in to grab a quick lunch, and it did not disappoint, from friendly service, to the food. We got a single 1 topping slice of pizza, and it was delicious. We decided to door dash some full sized pizzas the next day. We ordered a 16” pepperoni and sausage and a 24” pepperoni pizza!
