Smoothie King — Restaurant in Indian Trail

I recently stopped by this Smoothie King location and had a pretty decent experience overall. I gave 4 stars for the smoothies themselves—they were delicious, well blended, and tasted fresh. I ordered the [insert your smoothie name here if you’d like], and it hit the spot. The texture was smooth with no icy chunks, and the flavor balance was perfect. You can tell they use quality ingredients, which I really appreciate. I also like that there are tons of customizable options depending on what you’re in the mood for—whether it’s something high-protein, low-calorie, or just a treat.

However, the service didn’t quite match the quality of the product. The person at the counter wasn’t rude, but they didn’t seem very welcoming either. It felt a little rushed and transactional, and there was no real attempt at engaging with the customer beyond just taking the order. I’ve had better service at other Smoothie King locations, so that was a bit of a letdown. A smile and a quick “How’s your day going?” can really make a difference.

The atmosphere was just okay. The space looked clean overall, but it didn’t feel super inviting. The seating was limited, and the lighting made the space feel a little dull. It’s fine if you’re just grabbing a smoothie and going, but if you’re thinking of sitting down and enjoying it there, it’s not the coziest vibe.

All in all, the product is what keeps this location afloat. If the service and atmosphere improved just a bit, this could easily be a 5-star location. I’d still come back for the smoothies alone, but I’d love to see a bit more warmth and energy from the staff to match the quality of what...

I’m a loyal (almost every day) customer here and I just had an experience that will KEEP me as a loyal customer. I order a drink that I ended up not liking. I thought it was basically the same thing I always order but I hated it. So I go inside and ask if they will throw it away and tell them I need to order a new one, the regular way I normally get it. They not only took the time to figure out what the difference was (it was the unsweetened strawberries when I normally have the sweetened) they also gave me my replacement smoothie for free! Which they did NOT have to do because it was MY mistake not theirs! Everyone was so kind and I just wanted to leave this review in hopes more people will give them a visit! I've always loved Smoothie King, especially The Hulk. I've ordered The Hulk at this Smoothie King on at least 3 separate occasions, and each time it has tasted like frozen, watery, slighty sweet goop. I visited 2 other Smoothie Kings in the area, ordered the same thing, and they were fantastic. Have now confirmed that this specific location is doing something very different. I couldn't taste any of the mixins, so it's possible they don't add them for some reason (lower cost, think customers won't notice?). All in all, Smoothie King is good, just not this one. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because I got $2 off with the healthy rewards app, and I feel sorry for them if they're doing this because they aren't getting...
