Indian Trail location is horrible. Twice within a week I have had issues with Mobile Orders. August 20th I ordered a Cool Wrap Meal with 2 Avocado Ranch Packets and a Spicy Chicken Sandwich Meal with Ketchup and Mayonnaise. Handed me my bag with no Cool Wrap, Ranch Packets, Ketchup, Mayonnaise, and Straws. Went back around, told the boy taking orders who spoke to someone on his headset and told me to drive around. Sat in the drive thru for almost 10 minutes to get to the "window/door" and sit there another couple of minutes until a girl walked up to my window and asked what my order was. I told her what the issue was and she stated "They didn't give you the Cool Wrap!?". I again explained what we were missing and she spoke to another girl. They took my bag and then pointed to a place in front of the drive thru to park. I told my daughter, "Watch, they will bring us just the Cool Wrap and not our bag with the rest of our food in it that they took." And yep that is EXACTLY what happened! I saw her walking towards our car with the plastic bag with the Cool Wrap. I told her, "Y'all took our other bag with the rest of our food in it". She laughed and mumbled "Why would they take your bag" but then said "Wait, I was the one that took it" and then took off running back to the window/door where another girl was standing and watching. She was talking to her and then both went back in for a moment and out comes the other girl with our bag and our drinks, which we already had. I tried to laugh it off because this place is run by teenagers. No actual adult seems to be on staff at any time I am there.
Now let me get to the cherry on top. I placed another Mobile Order for breakfast this morning (8/26) and my daughter went to pick it up. She gets through the drive thru only to be told my card was declined. Same card I always use, there is money in my account, so unsure why it's giving them issues. I pull up my banking app and there is a pre-auth for $29.76 for Chick-fil-a. I also receive text messages as soon as a transaction has taken place through my bank, which I did get one. I screenshot both and send them to my daughter to show them. I had $208.55 in my account and it was now showing $178.79. I told my daughter to park and I would call and speak with a manager. Spoke to Alaina or Elaina who was very sweet but could tell she was young. I asked to speak with a manager and she said she was the manager. She explained that the card would not go through on their end and that it will show up as a pending charge on my bank and will fall off in 3-4? business days. I told her the money is showing removed from my account but it does say pending. She said she would try to get a director, Taylor, to speak with me, who was on site. She came back to the phone and said she spoke with them and told me the same thing. Of course upper management would dodge calls because they do not want to deal with it. I am pissed, was probably not the nicest to Alaina?, but I have never had an issue with my card there, especially when there is money in my account. So I am out $29.76, with no food to show for it and hoping the transaction will fall off in a couple of days. And I should notate that IT BETTER.
I can honestly say that after these two situations within a week, I will more than likely never visit the Indian Trail location again. Every time that we are there, it is all teenagers running the place. No actual adult seems to be on site, and if they are, they are hiding in their office. It is VERY clear this location needs more training and the presence of an adult at all times behind...
Read moreI’ve always appreciated Chick-fil-A for their consistency and quality, but this particular visit left me feeling a bit disappointed. While there were still some positives, the overall experience just didn’t live up to the standard I’ve come to expect from the brand, which is why I’ve rated it 3 stars.
Food: The food was okay, but not as fresh as usual. I ordered a classic chicken sandwich meal with fries, and while the taste was still good, the temperature and texture were off. The sandwich was a little lukewarm, and the bun seemed a bit stale around the edges—almost like it had been sitting in the bag for a while. The waffle fries were soft and not very hot, which really took away from the enjoyment. Normally, everything is hot and perfectly crisp, so this was disappointing. I also ordered a lemonade, which tasted good, but the cup was only about 3/4 full.
Service: The service was not rude, but it definitely wasn’t the friendly, enthusiastic attitude Chick-fil-A is known for. Usually, you’re greeted with smiles and “my pleasure” at every turn—but this time, it felt more like the staff was just going through the motions. The person taking my order didn’t seem particularly welcoming, and I had to repeat myself more than once. My food also took longer than expected, even though the dining area and drive-thru didn’t appear to be very busy. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the delay.
Atmosphere: The best part of this visit was the atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Tables were wiped down, the floors were free of debris, and the drink station was well stocked. I had no trouble finding a seat, and the overall vibe of the space was calm and relaxing. I appreciated the attention to cleanliness, especially during busier times when it can sometimes be overlooked.
Overall: While nothing about this visit was awful, it was underwhelming—and that’s not something I expect from Chick-fil-A. I still enjoy the brand and will continue to visit other locations, but I’m hoping this particular spot steps it up in terms of freshness and customer service. A little more attention to detail would go a long way in turning this into a...
Read more12/24/22 Ordered ahead on the app . Made sure to get extra of all the sauces we like . Went in to pick it up and they just sit orders in the lobby in the pick up area for door dash and pick up after calling the name once barley audible. Quite rude like might I add. There it is subject to anyone waiting in the pick up are to either grab and go or be subject to coughs sneezes ect. Not only is this a sanitation issue for customers but also liability for the store and company itself. Anyone can pick those orders up and then the right customer come and there order is missing the store then will have to remake the order and likely offer a refund as well. It's a lose lose situation for all involved .
Not only that but when are order was finished the employee called my name again in an unpleasant tone. When collecting my things I asked for extra sauce to be sure she came back with 1 each of the sauce I asked for .. which is all I expected from that request .
Get back to the car and hand everyone their order when I realized there was not one single sauce in the bag . My mother's sandwich did not have maynaise as ordered nor no packets given. The drink lids were not secure and were spilling over the top which ended up all over our clothes .
Overall just a bad experience yet again from this particular store . I love chick-fil-a and it's sad when getting this experience because even tho it's one store of many it still is in representation of the brand and company and should operate...
