UPDATE #3
We understood that we bought the car as is but we did not expect the vehicle to fail us in less than six months. The transmission failed and the repairs costed over $9000 which is more than the car was worth. We ended up having to purchase another vehicle. We lost $9000 and a car, and still owed the bank who financed it.
Life lesson: always do a pre purchase inspection with a certified mechanic before buying any used car… if the dealer won’t allow it, go somewhere else.
UPDATE #2: I am very, very pleased with the service I received at this dealership…even though my vehicle broke down, they offered to fix it for me. They replaced the entire transmission FREE OF CHARGE! They called iit a goodwill repair, which means they will fix it but it is still a vehicle sold “as is” and we understand that. Mr. Tim and his associates and Mr. Elman have always been kind, very professional and understanding. They didn’t have to do anything, but they did the right thing and they have restored my faith in humanity and strengthened my faith in God! See what happens when you trust in God to take care of you?!?
I highly recommend them!! God bless you 5 Star Auto!
I will be picking up my vehicle tomorrow!! 11/12/24. So happy!! Thank you 5 Star Auto staff!
First post in October 2024…
I bought a 2017 Ford Escape on 9/20/24. The transmission went out on October 22, 2024....32 days later... I gave them $4000 down (all we had at the time) and now I have no car to drive, no money to buy another car, and no money to fix the car we bought. I am disappointed, sad, and frustrated. I called to tell them what happened, and I have not received a call back yet, but it has only been one day since I notified them. We will see if my review changes. I am praying for God's favor to show up for us. I know God will make a way for us so I will continue to trust HIM!
Update #1: they did call me back and offer to fix my car at no cost to me if I could get it to their repair shop, which we did…I will update as I know more…it is in their possession at this time…thank you 5 Star...
Read moreIn response to the owner on 2/10/25, I am an educated person who actually works for a company and I lead the customer service department. So I know how to effectively communicate. At the time of purchase your sales associate assured me that each vehicle goes through an inspection, however when I left the dealership I had to bring back the car the next day due to the AC blowing hot air. Your mechanic stated that it needed Freon. Which your dealership did add ( thank you ) Furthermore, when I informed your sales associate of the issues with the catalytic convertor and the leaking oil, from the Buick dealership. He only offered to look at the leaking oil, not the catalytic converter. So your dealership is offering to look at the less important $500 repair and not the $2500 much more serious repair. If your dealership had offered to repair the catalytic convertor We would not be having conversation, and the car I paid $7500 for is now gonna cost me close to $12,000 because of repairs your dealership should have repaired prior to me purchasing. Had your sales associate put me in contact with you, the owner ( if you are the Owner ) we would not be here.
So in continuation of my journey that I am taking you on with 5 Star Auto. I paid $7400 for a 2014 Buick. I had to replace the catalytic convertor500 miles in at cost of $2500. The Dealership offered no help and told me the car is " as is" So on Friday February 8th ( last Friday for anyone counting days ) The check engine light comes on again. the code for the (( catalytic convertor)) I go back to the dealership and they tell me. the turbo is leaking into the catalytic convertor and the 02 senor is gone as well. So this will cost me another $3500. So it 100% clear 5 Star Auto sold me a lemon. This all my fault for buying from 5 star auto . I should have done more research on this dealership. So I will cut my loses and sell the car. But If I can save any of you some money and headaches I am...

I paid $2500 to replace the catalytic converter. So 2 weeks later the check engine comes back on with the identification of a an issues with the catalytic converter (( again )) 5 star Auto sure is the dealership of the year. Please do your self a favor and buy your next vehicle from a honest dealer
So lady’s and gentlemen reading this review. If you are like me I base my buying of items and services based on reviews like this one. If you allow me I am going to take on a journey to maybe save some of you sometime, heartache and more importantly money. Please do yourself a favor and avoid buying cars from 5 star auto. They lie and they will sell you are a car is that is not up to standard. About 6 weeks ago I bought a 2014 Buick the sales person assured me that each and every car goes through and inspection and is checked for issues before it is sold. After buying the car I took it home and noticed the AC was blowing warm air. We are at day (1) people. I called 5 star auto and he said bring it by and come to find out the car at no fron. The first red flag. But they added fron and the ac is working ok. Next I take the car on a trip to Atlanta to visit my mother and a check engine comes on, ok let’s get it let’s get it looked. So I take the car to Buick for a full diagnostic. The dealership inform me Massive amounts of oil in the engine and it needs a full replacement of the catalytic converter and they want to charge $5,000 and the car I just bought from 5 star auto with only 500 miles put on it. I only paid. $7500. So yes “ as is equals as is “ I will consult with attorney but I am sure they are covered and I will have to the $5000 to repair. But I want to save who I can. Please avoid this dealership. They lie and they will sell you a bad car and with “as is “ law it will on you to deal with it. I hope this...
