Update: We made the mistake of going back. It's not any better. We were sat at a dirty table, our server didn't show up until we were almost done eating- someone else took our drink & appetizer order. We were considering ordering dinner, but there was no attempt to take an order so we ordered BDubs to go from our booth waiting on the check. I forgot about my initial review until notification to update the review since Google picked up I was there. So I guess if you want BDubs, try to go to this Applebee's to eat first, they've steered me there twice now 🙄
Walked in, the bartender asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. We told her we would take a bar table and was told those were closed for the night. We asked to sit in another section and was told that it was closed for the night. They were seating everyone coming in on one side of the restaurant, the smallest side, and didnt have any clean tables over there to sit ppl at. By this time several other people came in and wanted to be sat too, but even though over half of the reataurant was clean and open, people had to wait. The bartender walked off, never came back to us or attempted to clean any tables. Neither did the manager who was out running food and saw the people standing there waiting for tables. About 10 minutes later a server came by and told us it wouldn't be much longer. I asked when they closed (we came in at 9pm so we could take advanyage of happy hour) and was told midnight. I said, so you you have all of us waiting to be seated, over half of the restaurant is able to be seated, but we ALL have to wait? She said yes sorry and walked away, WITHOUT CLEANING A TABLE, or attempting to. We left and went to BDubs. Never again will we go to this Applebee's. It is the closest one to our house so it is unfortunate for us. If this is how they treat ppl as soon as they walk in the door, how can I be ensured they will provide any kind of customer service, let alone GOOD customer service? That first impression blew it. Side note, we announced we were going to BDubs when we left because we had been there waiting for almost 20 mins at that point, and 2 other parties that were also waiting showed up to BDubs after us. A lady recognized us & told me they still were waiting on someone to clean a table and sit them. I worked for Apple American for 7 years and know the expectations I had as an employee of Applebees. I would never expect to see such disregard for taking care of customers from a whole store of employees. One, maybe...but the whole team? Their tips and sales must suck since those things are usually in line with the service that...
Read moreFirst of all I want to state that the people were very friendly, but there were plenty of issues...
First, it took about 10 minutes for them to seat us when there were about 5 empty tables throughout the place and we were the only ones waiting.
Second, my wife ordered a 6oz steak well done. It came out medium, she asked for it to be re-cooked and instead they made a new one for her, which is nice. However, the new steak was still pink. She is now praying to the porcelain god as I write this.
Third, I ordered the all day breakfast burger cooked to medium and received a VERY well done burger. The bun was hard and the egg was too well done. The portion of fries I received was laughable as well as stale. I did not complain and finished my food.
Forth, the bill...when it came the first time i noticed that they charged us for two steaks, my guess was that they had to renter the steak to get it cooked right. No biggie, she took that off...or so i thought. When we paid we used gift cards. Three $10 gift cards and the remainder on my debit. When she came back we had 9 receipts. 6 were for the gift card transactions and 3 for the debit card. Still the total that they took off our debit card was $10 too much. I noticed a receipt that was soley for a steak and water. The computer automatically charged one gift card to the steak we had re-cooked. Long story short they recharged everything and it turned out ok. After 24-48 we will have all the money that was overcharged back on our card.
So, like I said, there were issues. The staff handled things well and fixed it for us, maybe it was just one of those days. But, it was a little too much for us. Now, to tend to my pregnant wife who may have...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I have ever had at Applebee's 2/17/13. It was a Sunday night and everything else closes at 10pm and it was 9:30 so we went to Applebee's. It didn't take long for our drink order to come but when we ordered we ordered the Appetizer Sampler and a dinner since my husband was not that hungry. After 30 minutes or so here comes the Appetizer Sampler and the dinner at the same time when I specifically asked the waitress to bring the Appetizer out first. I asked her to please take the dinner back so it wouldn't get cold while we ate the appetizer. The appetizer looked as though they dug all the left over's out the trash and served them to us. The chips had to had been re-diped in the oil because they were totally saturated with grease by then I was starving and ate any way. The spinish dip was cold the cheese on top was just a big clump of cheese that looked as though it had sat in the window for days. The mozzarella sticks was not warm and the cheese was stiff! I didn't even try to eat the chicken. With a disgusted look on my face the Manager comes out and walks right past me and asked another table how was their meal. Not to mention!!!!!!!! The waitress came with the tab so my husband put a fifty dollar bill in to pay for the meal she left and never returned with our change. I was like WTF we just got robbed at Applebee's. We couldn’t find anyone to complain to because it was close to 11pm. The next day I had sharp pains in my belly and was sick until today.
