Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I wanted to make sure I post this review immediately in hopes that the owner remembered who I was. I frequent this location because hands down the food is ALWAYS spot on. Unfortunately, after today I will no longer patronize this Penn Station. So to be clear, this has absolutely nothing to do with the food. It's the customer service I walk in and was asked how I was doing today? I didn't even know at first that the assistant manager Travis was even talking to me because his back was turned. I found that unusually rude especially upon walking in I witnessed him greeting the customer prior to me directly. But that's not my issue. The owner who was there didn't talk to me or greet me at all. However, I did hear him tell the same customer prior to me (white female) good bye and thanks for coming. I However, got nothing, a greeting and actually he wouldn't even look me in my face while I was walking out. But greeted the woman prior to me. It was uncomfortably awkward and I didn't understand why I didn't get the same interaction as the customer before me. Visited this location yesterday and I was greeted immediately upon walking in the door, which was a plus. My cashier was polite also. The food was a different story. I asked for a little extra mayo and my sandwich was drowned in it. When I opened my sandwich it was everywhere and I could not eat my food without making a mess. Also the lemonade ( which is my favorite part of Penn Station) was watered down. I told the cashier and her response was “I haven’t had it today “. I sat down and watched as she asked the other two employees to taste it, they both agreed that it wasn’t up to par YET I wasn’t offered another one or a refund. I probably won’t visit this location again! I’ll stick to Washington street or Shadeland Ave, I literally eat Penn Station...

The food here is ok but the service has gone out the door. Last week the manager stopped the young lady from taking my order to work the sandwich line. Never said ANYTHING to me. Left 3 of us standing there while the whole staff made 7 new online order sandwiches. After 11 minutes & still no service I walked out. Neither manager on the line said sorry, thank you, bye or anything! Not a friendly or welcoming environment anymore except for the one older lady.
