So disappointed. The first time I had a cheesesteak from Capriotti's I was in heaven. I watched them make it and drove 15 minutes back to my house it was still fresh and delicious. That was the first time i introduced my husband to the large classic Italian. He loved it! The last two times I've ordered for pickup the sandwich has been made incorrectly. I've asked for double meat both times and that has not happened. They've left off my mayo and my hot peppers. Today my bread was so chewy I could barely bite into it. The steak was so overcooked and dry that i had to add ketchup in order to swallow it down. I don't want to have to stand there and watch them make my cheesesteak I'm order to love it. I always get my husband a large classic Italian. I asked for light mayo, light oil, and light vinegar. The sandwich was soggy and falling apart and the mask oozed out of the side of the sandwich. They've got one more chance before I'm done!

I was underwhelmed by my recent lunch experience at Capriotti's Sandwich Shop - Castleton Crossing location. I ordered a medium cheesesteak with cheese, grilled onions, and mayonnaise, hoping to indulge in a delicious and satisfying sandwich. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met. The cheesesteak was incredibly fatty, making it difficult to enjoy the sandwich without feeling weighed down and unhealthy. The flavors of the sandwich were also lackluster, with the cheese, onions, and mayonnaise failing to elevate the taste of the meat. Overall, I would not recommend the cheesesteak from Capriotti's Sandwich Shop. It was a disappointing dish that left me feeling bloated and unsatisfied. There are plenty of other options available in the area that offer a better dining experience.

I first came across this sandwich shop by accident, I was hungry and my co-worker said let’s try this place, So I got a stk and cheese sandwich ole school w/extra meat. For me I didn’t need the extra meat as the sandwich was over flowing with this deliciousness. I go home and tell the family about this mouth watering meal and we decided to order sandwiches for dinner the next day. My mother ordered the Bobby ( it’s a turkey, dressing and cranberry delight) My sister wanted the Stk & Cheese like I had the day before. I dove in ordering The French Dip (w/ grilled onions and extra Swiss) My oh My the Au Jus was great. Thank you Guys for a great dinner!

Solid sandwich...very good. I got the Capastrami (their Pastrami sandwich). Some thoughts: Overall, I was struck by the attention they dedicate to the flavor profile of their offerings. I noticed that 'Russian Dressing' seems to be a key layer on many of their menu selections. I actually think this is a positive: I find Russian Dressing to be an interesting and unique type of dressing, and one that is not very common, at least not around here. The other key layer they use is Cole Slaw, and again this has a positive influence on the selections they use it with.

The only demerit (and ultimately reason for 4 instead of 5 stars) would be the bread. Given the "Italian" presentation of the brand, I would have expected a crustier, more true-to-form bread. They are bringing in pre-made loaves rather than baking them in store. My philosophy with sandwiches is that the bread "makes or breaks" a sandwich. Look, the bread wasn't terrible, and I've had worse, but it was not crusty and perfect. Any water-based additions to the sandwich such as the slaw, dressing, and certainly any vinegar and oil, soak right through and cause a soggy bottom and corners. And any sandwich aficionado will tell you...that's not cool man.

Ultimately though, great experience. I noticed another review gave 1 star because the reviewer felt this sandwich shop wasn't on par with deli's in New York and L.A. Well I think that's a bit unfair, they're not actually claiming to be like a deli in these ultra-competitive and higher-standard (both food-service and general public) areas. What I got was a solid sandwich with a robust flavor profile and plenty of pastrami. If they could just get the bread right, this place will...

I don't know where to start since everything about this place exceeded my expectations. No, really. It's a sandwich shop in a strip mall by Castleton. That's how you would describe Subway or Jimmy John's, but it's not even proper to put these places in the same conversation. I would put this in the company of DiBella's or Gandolfo's. But this may be the leader of that pack. Start with the decor. Brightly lit but not obnoxious. Nice use of nostalgic lightbulbs. Everything was spotless, even behind the counter (which is open for all to see). (Granted, they just opened 2 weeks ago. Let's see it in 6 months). The menu is somewhat limited, but the selection is adequately varied. They offer sandwiches, soups and salads. They also have a "Capture 2" (1/2 sandwich, soup or salad). Sandwiches come in 3 lengths. I had the Chicken Cheese Steak and it tasted very good. My only ding on the whole experience was that the ingredients were a touch sparse. The biggest surprise was the clam chowder. Wow!! Honestly, perhaps the best clam chowder I've had at any restaurant. (I know you are thinking I must not get out much - but check all my reviews). It's worth getting all by itself. My wife got the balsamic chicken salad and liked it. Prices were pretty reasonable too. Sandwiches run from $7.50 to $16 (remember, 3 different lengths, 9", 12" and 20"!). Salads are all $7.50. We were already talking about coming back and what we would get next time before we even left. How awesome to have...

The sandwiches are very mediocre. They have something I can easily make at my own home. Penn station definantly kicks this places butt as well as jimmy johns and jersey mikes.. On top of that, the staff left the place in disarray. The floors had garbage, dust and debris everywhere and the tables all had crumbs and stains on them.. Nothing, not even the hand towels or the straws were stocked at all and the bathrooms had urine on the ground and all over the toilet seats. Behind the counter, there was garbage everywhere and the food was obviously clearly surrounded around non hygienic materials. I very rarely leave reviews on google, especially negative ones. Fortunately, the only redeeming quality about this location was the African American gentleman working behind the register. He was funny and very likable. Sorry for the negative review, but for the price of the food at this location, I had to admit I was extremely disappointed with the food and the...
