So after having a long work week. I was off today. I slept in. Life a Bachelorette. I declined to prepare dinner for thy self. So I elect take out. My mind and I decided that it was going to be a fat day. As I was debating on food choices through my surroundings areas. I was stuck between pizza and burgers. Five Guys won the toss up. I decided on a Blt add onion and jalapeños. For one bacon almost go with the fat day. For 2. I didn't even know they had boys. And for 3 I was excited to try a differnt item off the menu. I order a Cajun fry. And last but not least. The fat day could not be competed with out a milkshake. Which I did peanut butter, banana, oreo. And salted carmel. I ordered online and picked up in the store. I arrived at the store, and I was immediately greeted by smiling faces. I've must have look like my name , because one of the workers ask "Are you Candy?" And indeed I was. The cashier was really sweet as well. She placed a small sticker on my shake that made my heart smile. My fries was delectable, my shake was spectacular, I was kind of upset I got to the last of it. I need a larger size. Lol. Maybe one day it won't be a all size fits all. My blt was good. But it was missing its jalapenos (especially for a girl who likes her food spicy) but it wasn't enough to be upset about it. Next time I'll just check my bag before I leave. The employees energy made up...
Read moreAs always, Five Guys offered an amazing burger and exceptional fries. Things I love:
The burgers are well made, from an assembly standpoint. The ingredients are balanced.
If you're not up for a double cheeseburger, the standard Five Guys burger, order a little cheeseburger. Don't let the term "little" confuse you though. This is a full size burger, just one patty not two.
Access to peanuts , and extra paper trays to dispose of shells is truly fun...and tidy. Allergic to peanuts? Do not walk, run away from Five Guys. All of their fried items are fried in peanut oil.
The Coca Cola machine mixes brands and flavoring to create new tastes. The sugar free options are plentiful.
The only downside? The counterattendant is somewhat forced to yell your order number because it's kind of loud in there with an open kitchen and several people talking. I wish they would consider putting out a number system that was visual. Our service person yelled our number out twice before I could just get up and walk over there. It's like being rushed, and I don't want to be rushed.
I love this place, and we make it a point to go there whenever we are in Indianapolis as we live in a rural community. If you are a burger lover, this place should be on your local radar, all...
Read moreThe burger was amazing and perfectly prepared, which is to be expected as it took a ridiculous 17 minutes for one burger. This was a Monday night (February 1, 2016), order was placed at exactly 8:16pm (confirmed by time on the receipt), burger delivered at 8:33pm. There were 3 customers in the store, and no one in line ordering. They weren't busy. I'm just standing there in an empty store for 17 minutes wondering what could possibly take so long to make a burger. ONE BURGER!
Here's the bottom line: the 2 cooks were screwing around. I observed this the entire time I was there. The male cook was flirting with the female cook. Neither of them were attempting to make burgers with a sense of purpose. They need to get their act together.
I'd like to point out that the young lady taking orders handled my complaint well, exactly as one should. She didn't get an attitude, and agreed and smiled the whole time. This wasn't her fault, she's not making the burgers, and she perhaps doesn't feel comfortable riding the cooks.
When you visit this location, my only advice is to hold them to a standard. Ask how long it will take to prepare your food. Hold them to it. After a few customers do this, things will hopefully...
