I had the worst experience at Epic Ultra Lounge last night. My friends and I were looking forward to attending their tacos and tequila event a promoter holds there on Tuesdays. We arrived very early to make sure we had a seat and could enjoy our tacos before dancing the night away. We ordered 6 tacos around 9:45. There were only about 10 customers in the building. Around 11:00, we still didn’t have tacos. I went to speak to the manager at the bar. His explanation was they only had 1 cook but there were people who ordered tacos after us that had been served while my group and I were still waiting. Another manager came from the kitchen to ask why she heard me screaming. I explained to her my group had been waiting for tacos since 9:45pm and no one was in the club. She told me their DoorDash orders take priority over the customers in the night club. My friends and I will not be returning to this establishment. I am sure this will be devastating for their bartenders seeing as how we made sure to tip 50%-60%...
Read moreOn Wednesday's they have poetry nights. My friend knows I like poetry and thought I might enjoy it. My favorite poetry author is Charles Bukowski, which is a very raw, real, rough around the edges sort of guy, his writing style is the kind I enjoy. I was hopeful that some of the poetry speakers would be enjoyable but it wasn't. I've been to this poetry night at Epic Ultra Lounge with my friend about 4 different nights, I had hoped it would get better but it never did. First of all, it lacks diversity, the room is filled with all black people and usually will have one random token white guy. In my opinion, most there don't read poetry, most there rap and call it a "poem". For the small handful of people that actually read poetry, it's always about the same things: relationship problems and sex. So if you expect to go to their Wednesday poetry nights, be ready for half the people that approach the mic to rap, and expect the other half to read a poem about their relationship problems or their...
Read moreHad a horrible experience at epic. Came on a random Tuesday night for my birthday. The lady at the front collecting the $5 cover was extremely rude. She claimed they only take cash even though there’s a sign saying they take debit/credit and square cash. I Left for not even 5 minutes to get cash and upon returning she changed the cover to $10. Paid it. Came in to an almost empty club which is expected on a Tuesday. But I Wasn’t expecting drinks to be so high. Paid $18 for two DISGUSTING drinks. Worst drink I’ve ever had in my life, I’m not exaggerating. Sat down and the music was decent. The hookah we ordered wasn’t working. Had to track down a server to get it fixed. Ended up staying an hour then leaving. Horrible bday experience. Don’t waste your time coming for this overpriced and horrible service...
