If I could rate zero stars for this location I would. Several months ago, after driving all evening and booking my room online ahead of time I arrived at the WoodSpring Castleton location at around 3am. The parking lot was fairly empty and the front desk appeared to be closed with the shutters pulled down. When I picked up the phone to confirm my room a younger fellow answered, "we don't have any rooms right now". I replied, "Hi, I'm great thanks. I'm here from out of town and already made my reservation ahead of time online." And he replied, "I said we don't have any rooms clean". I hung up the phone and immediately walked over to the SureStay where I was placed in a room within minutes. No issues. No attitude. The next morning I see on my account that I've not only been charged the full price of my reservation from WoodSpring Castleton, but I was marked as a no show and charged an extra fee. I called the hotel several times and finally spoke to the front desk associate explaining my experience the night before. They refused to give me any kind of refund claiming the interaction wasn't logged and it was my responsibility to follow up regarding when rooms would become available again. My account was charged $115 after receiving horrible customer service and never having stepped foot into the lobby. I left my information for the hotel manager to call on their next visit but haven't gotten a call back...
Read moreI came from a louisville assignment to the castleton area to take on other assignments and decided to look around for something more secure and close to my jobs and came across woodsprings suites I know few of my nurse friends have stayed before and by the pics it looks nice clean spascious as i drove up to the hotel it was clean and nice and the front desk staff were so informative on everything the facility had laundry mat a fitness center and vending free coffee in morning on the way to work the next day I decided to start staying more days thats turned into 30 days the staff are so nice and make u feel like home away from home they even hold mail get mail and help u w directions to places take there time out to see u leave and go to long shifts and still have tike to say have great day to get some rest have nice night I cant thank u all enough for your awesome hospitality u guys help me by your sincere attitudes and being there in case i need something I cant thank u all enough Anton.jalisa.keshawn Germaine Desmond and save best 4 last there mngr john ") u have def formed a great team !!!!! Read moreI would like to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had during my stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, there were several situations that made my stay extremely unpleasant.||First of all, the cleanliness of the environment left a lot to be desired. I found cockroaches in my room, which is unacceptable for an establishment of this type. In addition, the bathroom drain was clogged, and after reporting the problem to reception, I have not received any solution to date.||The floor of the room was sticky, and when I tried to clean it with a cloth, the result was extremely dirty, showing the lack of hygiene. The situation was even worse with the window of the room, which does not have blackout curtains, causing the lights from the surrounding businesses to enter throughout the night, compromising my rest.||Finally, the experience at reception was disappointing. I have never been treated so poorly in a hotel, being served by a rude employee who showed disdain for my questions.
